$2,000 hiring/sign-on bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Full-Time Positions working 36 hours per week, Nights

Schedules Available:

Friday-Sunday, 6:00PM-6:30AM

Saturday-Monday, 6:00PM-6:30AM

This is a combined posting for a Security Officer and Senior Security Officer. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer, performs a variety of security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Enforces PH&S, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PH&S staff, visitors, staff, and property; respond and assist in restraining patients; detain individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer; and provide protective services to high risk areas. Mobile positions will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, patient transports, site surveys, threat assessments, patient standbys, alarm/nuisance call response, special details and assist in training of clinic personnel. May be required to support any Providence or affiliated organizations within the Oregon Region.

Performs a variety of intermediate level technical security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Enforces PH&S, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigates reports of potential criminal conduct against PH&S staff, visitors, staff, and property; responds and assists in restraining patients; detains individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer; and provides protective services to high risk areas. May be required to support any Providence or affiliated organizations within the Oregon Region.

Security Officer

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Oregon Private Security Armed/Unarmed Professional
  • Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training Or
  • Upon hire: Oregon Private Security Unarmed Professional
  • Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training
  • 1 year Experience using personal computer with standard Microsoft applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College level coursework in professionally related fields such as criminal justice, social work, psychology or any social science.

  • 1 year Security/law enforcement experience such as corrections, police, reserve and military police.

  • Direct patient care experience in a healthcare industry.

Security Officer, Salary Range:

Min: $19.80, Max: $30.24

Senior Security Officer

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of one of the following:

  • Certified law enforcement academy, such as corrections, police, reserve or military police, or

  • Completion of certified military training or

  • Healthcare Security Officer Advanced or Supervisor Certification through IAHSS.

  • Successful completion of 5 additional FEMA Emergency Management Institute Courses from Security Services Approved Course List.

  • Upon hire: Oregon Private Security Armed/Unarmed Professional

  • Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training Or
  • Oregon Private Security Unarmed Professional
  • Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training Or
  • Oregon Private Security Temporary Work Permit

  • 3 years Experience in security or law enforcement in lieu of associates degree

  • Experience using personal computer with standard Microsoft applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree

  • College level coursework in professionally related fields such as criminal justice, social work, psychology or any social science.

  • Direct patient experience in a healthcare industry.

Senior Security Officer, Salary Range:

Min: $22.00, Max: $34.31
