The Saint-Gobain complex located in the Greendale section of Worcester is a dynamic campus and employer of over 1000 employees with approximately 85 buildings. The officer will ensure the security, safety and wellbeing of all personnel, visitors and the premises.
The officer shall immediately respond to emergencies and provide necessary assistance to employees, visitors and contractors. The officer shall provide excellent customer service, adhere to all company policies and standards and remain compliant with local, state and federal regulations.
Environment: Work is performed in an environment that may involve exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions.
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to climb on ladders; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or accredited Police Academy Certificate of completion. 2 years of progressive Law enforcement experience will be considered. This position requires Commonwealth of Massachusetts Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification and Hazardous Material Technician certification or willingness to obtain within 180 days.
Must possess valid motor vehicle license and have reasonable experience with personal computers. The individual must be able to professionally respond to a variety of emergency situations. Excellent verbal and written communications skills needed.
