Position Summary:

A security officer provides safety, security, and customer service to the guests, tenants, and employees of the LA Live project, The Grammy Museum, and to the South Park Business/Community Benefit District. Security Officers employed by AEG will assist local public safety agencies in the performance of their duties in providing service to the surrounding community as is affects L.A. LIVE.

Essential Functions:

  • Respond to all security needs and calls for service.

  • Provide customer service to all patrons and employees.

  • Conduct regular inspections of all patrol and fixed post assignments.

  • Write reports; conduct completed staff work.

  • Respond to crime scenes and ensure the scene is secured until the arrival of local law enforcement. Conduct simple misdemeanor crime investigations.

  • Maintain secure environment surrounding L.A. Live District.

  • Interview victims and witnesses.

  • Testify in court.

  • Patrol on foot, on bicycles, and in vehicles.

  • Work closely with other local public safety agencies to accomplish the goals of AEG.

  • Develop and implement accountability systems and measures of effectives for the Public Safety component of L.A. LIVE.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a High school or G.E.D. Equivalent.

  • At least 18 years of age or older

  • Must possess a valid CA Guard Card

  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods of time of up to 8-12 hours, riding a bicycle or seqway, and operating other equipment and necessary.

  • Previous Security experience a plus
