Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Officers. Our Security Officers allow us to contribute to our company's core purpose of providing unparalleled service, systems and solutions to serve, secure and care for the people and businesses of our communities.


  • Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent

  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner

  • Able to obtain a valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying. We will provide free training for any hires who do not possess a card/license

  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills

  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

  • Able to:

  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat

  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds

  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift

  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time


In the Security Industry, a Professional Security Officer may be required to possess a guard card/license depending on the state in which they are employed. The guard card/license is paid for by the owner of the license and becomes the property of that individual.

VIEW JOBS 12/6/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-06T00:00 Description Benefits Supplemental Questions New closing date Grant-funded position Responsible for policy development, program planning, fundraising, budget management, administration, scientific review, and operational direction of the Pensacola and Perdido Bays Estuary Program (PPBEP). The Program Director will enable the Estuary Program to quickly build coalitions, secure sustainable funding, attract talented staff and volunteers to use their skills and collaborate as a team to develop goals, action plans, and lead the development of an effective Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP). This position reports to the PPBEP Policy Board. Examples of Duties:Develops, implements, and administers a strategic plan for delivering programs and services related to the preservation and rehabilitation of the estuarine systems in Pensacola, Escambia and Perdido Bays and their associated watersheds; including synthesis of planning strategy and gap analysis to develop the CCMP; Directs all management functions to ensure that program's schedules, goals, and objectives are met; allocates appropriate resources to personnel to ensure that essential job functions are performed properly and all regulatory and grant reporting requirements are met; Develops, implements, and administers the program budget; ensures all functions and programs such as cost control activities and monitoring of revenues and expenditures are performed within established budgetary parameters to ensure sound fiscal control; Spearheads fundraising efforts; directs staff regarding grants and cooperative funding agreements to leverage and take advantage of strategic opportunities, collaborative efforts, and funding sources; works with local, state, and federal officials to secure sustainable funding; Establishes a team of professionals and external partners to direct and promote watershed restoration, recovery, and economic impact measurement strategies; integrates all environmental activities within the area; Develops and implements a public communications platform and educational outreach program to promote wise stewardship of the estuarine system, providing access to educational, professional, and scientific tools and resources; Establishes and encourages participation in high-level advisory committees supporting the work of the program ultimately bringing together citizens, government agencies, business and industry, conservation and environmental organizations, and academic institutions; Performs all personnel functions to maintain adequate staffing, enhance productivity of personnel and achieve program objectives within budget; supervises and evaluates personnel, provides or coordinates staff training, works with employees to correct deficiencies, implements discipline and termination procedures; Prepares a wide variety of written materials (e.g. bid specifications, correspondence, memos, reports, policy/procedures, budget, etc.) to document activities, provide written reference, and/or convey information; reviews and coordinates the development of plans, documents, and reports created by staff; and Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Qualifications:Training and Experience: Master's degree in biological or environmental science, management, planning, public administration or related field; supplemented by ten (10) or more years' experience in environmental science, research, or planning and development, including at least three years of supervisory or management experience. An equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience may be considered. Licensing Requirements: Valid driver's license Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of the theories, principles, practices, and techniques of environmental science and community and economic development planning. Ability to understand, interpret, explain and apply local, state and federal law and regulations governing environmental planning and community development; Ability to analyze complex and long range environmental planning issues and problems; evaluate alternative solutions and develop sound conclusions; make recommendations and suggest courses of action; and present proposals and recommendations clearly and logically to various audiences; Ability to develop and interpret budgets, contracts, and fiscal and financial reports; Ability to formulate, initiate, and administer policies and procedures for effective fiscal control; Ability to develop clear, concise and comprehensive technical reports, correspondence and other written materials.
