Job Description

Come join our team as a patrol security officer for a business complex in Sacramento.

Must be available for any shift and any day- Open availability is a must!

Must have valid drivers license!

Must have security experience!

Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time and work outside in the elements!

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent

  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner

  • Valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying.

  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills

  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

  • Able to:

  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat

  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds

  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift

  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

AND Satisfactory completion of an introductory course of training prescribed by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) as described in Penal Code Section 832 (arrest and firearms training). AND Satisfactory completion of a course approved by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) in the carrying and use of a club or baton or possession of a valid and current baton certification issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs. Note: The word "experience" referenced in the minimum qualifications means full-time paid experience unless the job announcement states that volunteer experience is acceptable. Part-time paid experience may be accumulated and pro-rated to meet the total experience requirements. In addition, a classifiable set of fingerprints shall be furnished to the Department of Justice and to the Federal Bureau of Investigations. Uniforms: Incumbents must be willing to wear a designated Sheriff's Department uniform.
