Full time night shift position based out of St. Mary Medical Center.
Makes appropriate safety and security rounds.
Maintains watch on the employee parking lot.
Opens/locks buildings, as appropriate.
Use/extinguish premises light & turn in a list of defective lights, as appropriate.
Conduct/assist with missing person reports.
Provide escort services to visitors.
Maintain smooth control of traffic.
Assist motorists involved in vehicle breakdowns.
Monitors the employee parking lot for the safety of staff.
Assists with heavy uncontrollable patients.
Assists in the return of a fleeing patient.
Assists staff police with violent, mentally disturbed, or drunk persons.
Asks a visitor to leave during non-visiting hours.
Responds to all 911 calls.
Controls curious bystanders.
Participates in fire and disaster drills.
Is familiar with all fire codes. Keeps corridors open and clear for emergency equipment and personnel.
Accurately documents daily activities at end of shift.
Maintains current CPR & AED certification
Responds to "Code 250" utilizing CPR and/or AED for patient in cardiac respiratory distress.
Responds to all on campus medical emergencies.
Coordinates and oversees security events during non-business hours along with nurse supervisor.
All other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma
Valid Driver's License
CPR & AED certification (within 6 months of hire)
