We have a newly created position for a motivated Security Officer to join our fast paced Public Safety Depts. located at our hospitals throughout the health system.

The Security officer protects life and property of all persons on hospital premises; patrols hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft and vandalism; secures, unlocks and protects hospital buildings; responds to security needs of hospital.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Provides a visible deterrence to crime and prohibited activities by patrolling the buildings and grounds of the hospital.

  • Investigates incidents of unusual circumstances reported by hospital personnel, visitors, physicians or patients; reports all incidents, verbally or through processing of security incident report before the end of assigned shift.

  • Responds to emergency calls for assistance to control disorderly conduct of combative patients, visitors or employees.

  • Responds to Code Red Fire Alarms, Code Pink Baby Alarms and other emergency needs.

  • Patrols buildings, grounds, and parking areas; inspects doors, windows and locks to ascertain level of security.

  • Responds quickly and effectively to emergent and non-emergent situations.

  • Escorts visitors, patients and personnel to and from parking areas, as requested.

  • Assists and gives courteous responses to any inquiries made by patients, visitors or personnel.

  • Enforces all hospital policies and procedures as assigned by Hospital Administration and the site Environmental Safety and Security Manager.

  • Monitors the hospital using electronic surveillance equipment.

  • Maintains all applicable logs as directed by supervisors.

Education:

  • High school diploma required

Licensures & Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.

  • Must be certified or eligible for Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Lethal

We have a new position for a Medical Assistant (MA) with MLHC Breast Surgical Associates located in Bryn Mawr, PA. This position is part time, 14 hours a week, with the days being Tuesday and Thursday. Must be able to travel between two offices (Bryn Mawr and Newtown Square occasionally). We are a surgical practice specializing in diagnosis and management of breast disease. Our breast surgeons are part of the interdisciplinary team of breast care specialists at The Barbara Brodsky Comprehensive Breast Center at Bryn Mawr Hospital. From your first visit, one of our experienced breast surgeons will be with you at each step in your care, helping you understand your diagnosis and options for treatment and guiding your care toward the best possible outcomes. We provide a full range of breast care services personalized to each patient's needs and situation. * Care of women at high risk for breast cancer * Evaluation of new or existing breast concerns * Breast biopsy * Diagnostic testing * Management of high-risk lesions * Surgical treatment of breast cancer * Sentinel node biopsy * Radioactive seed localization * Catheter placement for local radiation therapy (brachytherapy) * Second opinions – Our surgical specialists welcome the opportunity to provide patients with a second opinion about a breast biopsy, diagnosis or recommended treatment The Medical Assistant (MA) will be working daytime hours with possible evening depending on practice. Medical Assistant Position and job functions: * Multi-skilled health professional who works interdependently with other health care professionals to provide quality health care to the patient * Perform basic Medical Assistant tasks, including but not limited to, vital signs, routine blood draws, immunization, injections point of care testing, and EKG's and provides care that is consistent with Main Line HealthCare's policies and external regulations and requirements * Prepare patients for physician/practitioner exams * Complete the nursing portion of the patient medical records using approved documentation standards * Assist physicians/practitioners as requested for basic and emergency procedures * Maintain smooth patient flow by monitoring physician/practitioner work and anticipating their needs Education/Licenses/Certifications: * Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program * BLS for Healthcare Providers required at time of hire or within 30 days of start date * Current CPR Certification * Medical Assistant Certification preferred at time of hire Experience: * Proficient in medical procedures and medical terminology required * One year Medical Assistant experience preferred * Experience working in a surgical center environment preferred * Knowledge of personal computer and relevant software applicants preferred * Knowledge of third party payers preferred Applicants must certify that they have not used tobacco products or nicotine in any form in the 90-days prior to submitting an application to Main Line Health.
