What You Will Do

As an Associate with Wheaton Fransiscan WI, you will have the opportunity to

Provide security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.

  • Investigates, documents and manages security incidents and hazards.

  • Maintains knowledge/follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. May facilitate planned drills and simulations.

  • Trains and mentors staff on environment of care and emergency management processes and procedures. Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.

  • Provides for traffic and parking enforcement within campus area and participates in foot and vehicle patrols.

  • Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Preferred Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).

  • Drivers License credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles.

  • Law Enforcement.

  • Management of Aggressive Behavior credentialed from the Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International, Inc.

  • Security Professional.

  • Security Guard.

Education:

  • Diploma

  • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience:

  • None required.

As a Security Line Officer you are essential in ensuring the wellbeing of every person and all property at the hotel & casino. You will protect the life and property of our guests, team members, and company. While carrying out the job duties listed below, you will contribute to our continued success by providing unsurpassed guest service, personal and professional dedication to our Mission, Vision, and Values, and demonstrating a high level of integrity and ethical standards. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions) * *Execute security duties to adequately protect the life and property of guests, team members, company assets, and property. * *Escort and observe guests and team members to ensure their safety and protection; identify potential safety hazards and report observations to the appropriate individual for proper resolution. * *Generate necessary written reports regarding security related incidents involving guests, team members, property, and assets. * *Attend to the medical needs of guests and team members on assigned shift; respond to critical situations and emergencies. * *Ensure safe transportation of Casino's monies and gaming tokens including but not limited to assisting with the opening and closing of the gaming tables. * *Request and review identification from all guests who appear to be under the legal age to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations. * *Maintain a working knowledge of guests and team members who have been banned from re-entering the property and advise appropriate individuals and departments when observing trespassers on property. * *Operate mobile units including all forms of transportation if assigned driving responsibilities. Report all motor vehicle violations to management within 24 hours of incident if assigned driving responsibilities. * Maintain a working knowledge of the Casino's facilities as well as special events on property, in order to advise guests and fellow team members. * Maintain open lines of communication with coworkers, Security management, Surveillance, and other pertinent departments. * Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, standard operating procedures and regulations. * Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: * A high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of high volume, guest facing customer service experience are required. * Prior security experience is preferred. * Ability to hold and maintain a valid state issued non probationary driver's license is preferred including, * No more than three moving violations in the past 3 years. * No more than two at-fault accidents in the past 3 years. * No conviction for driving while impaired (DWI) or driving under influence (DUI) within the last three years. * The ability to use basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing using whole numbers and United States currency. * Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and basic computer skills. * The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information. * The ability to interact with customers and team members professionally. * The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. * While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, and move for duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member will be required to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions The noise level is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
