Security Officer - Full Time | North Austin TX

We seek reliable, trustworthy, unarmed Security Officers to join the ACT Security Group team! The selected individuals will patrol our client site in a marked vehicle to monitor the client's premises and identify risks to staff and patrons. Security guards may also enforce company security policies and legal protocols and take lawful action to defend life or property. Some qualities that may make a security guard successful include honesty, reliability, clear communication, quick thinking, and leadership. No experience is necessary, but it's a plus. We will train you!

Wage: $19.50 per hour

Available Schedule:

6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Sunday and Saturday

2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Wednesday and Thursday

10:00 pm to 6:00 am, Thursday and Saturday

Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license and no major moving violations in the last three years. This position requires the operation of a marked company vehicle.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.

• Observe and report.

• Ability to conduct continuous patrols on foot or in a vehicle.

• Lock and unlock client premise.

• Inspect doors, windows, and gates thoroughly to ensure proper function and security.

• Warn and report violators of premise rules and regulations.

• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water.

• Request emergency personnel as needed.

• Provide timely reports.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate in English proficiently.

Guard Licensing Qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years of age.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Must have or be able to be licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security. We can assist with the application process and state required examination.

• No Felony convictions 10 years from conviction date, Class A misdemeanors 5 years from conviction date and Class B misdemeanors 2 years from the conviction date involving crimes of moral turpitude. Learn more at Texas Administrative Code (state.tx.us)
