Job Description

Provides for a safe, secure environment for employees, patients, visitors; supports and enforces policies and procedures for physical protection of property, building(s) and assets of facility

Responsible for patrolling the internal/external of the premises

Provide physical restraint against those who endanger staff, patients, and visitors.

Provide escort to personnel as appropriate.

Report safety, security and/or fire hazards

Participant in the Hospital Emergency Response Team, to include internal and external disaster drills, response to all real life emergency situations as requested to include hurricanes, wildfires and or any other real life hospital disaster.

Decontamination training and hospital incident command training.

Must have good oral, written communications, interpersonal and analytical skills sufficient to document investigative activities

Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Available for OT, weekends, on-call and shifts. Occasional irregular hours may occur

Licenses/Certificates:

Possesses and maintains a valid Florida Driver's License

BLS (American Heart) is required when working independently

CPI certification preferred, provided by the hospital

Experience: At least two years previous experience preferred
