CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Driver's License upon hire and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI Training) within 3 months and Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA) or Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED certification (AHA) within 30 days.

Patrols Medical Center buildings and property.

Gathers all pertinent information to make decisions.
Uses common sense/good judgment and is resourceful in solving problems.

Maintains calm approach in stressful situations.
Maintains knowledge of Security Department operations.
Utilizes CPI methods as team member to control aggressive or violent patients and visitors.
Effectively monitors Security and fire alarm. Responds to stats, disasters and codes following policies and procedures.
Monitors and responds to access controls, panic alarms, fire computer and alarms, intercoms and CCTV monitors.
Acknowledges incoming Security calls or alarms and dispatches Security officers to the appropriate locations.
Maintains and enhances their knowledge and capabilities during emergency and non-emergency situations, performing multiple duties rapidly, calmly, and effectively to achieve the responses needed.
Keeps abreast on all call disasters and security policies.
Contacts appropriate personnel for all codes, disasters and stats.
