Responsibilities

• Provide personal, equipment, and property security for assigned area to include but not limited to patrolling and examining assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle.

• Examine doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.

• Inform and warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.

• Report areas of concerns and emergencies, such as safety and security hazards; contacts appropriate authorities (APD, AFD, etc. as necessary) giving descriptive information.

• Maintain and complete necessary reports and documentation.

• Take ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.

• Communicate and listen effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.

• Cooperate and interact with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to "service".

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• Completed security guard training though an approved agency Level I and II or obtain within 6 months of hire.

• Less than one year experience in general security

• In order to drive a Lovelace owned vehicle you must possess a valid NM driver's license on your person no DUI/DWI within the last five years

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Hospital environment experience
• CPR Certification
