As an Armed Security Officer you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

Hourly Pay Rate: $21.00 / per hour


  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner

  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

VIEW JOBS 9/2/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-12-01T00:00 <p>Where applicable, confirmation that you meet customer requirements for facility access which may include proof of vaccination and/or attestation and testing, unless an accommodation has been approved.</p><p>Secure our Nation, Ignite your Future</p><p>Facility Security Officer Chesapeake, VA PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><ul><li><p>Prepare for and participate in DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVAs) and Continuous Monitoring (CM) engagements.</p></li><li><p>Conduct periodic self-inspections of security program in accordance with the NISPOM (32 CFR part 117) and company policies.</p></li><li><p>Maintain Facility Security Clearance (FCL) documentation in the National Industrial Security System (NISS).</p></li><li><p>Initiate, review, and process personnel security clearances and periodic reinvestigation's (SF86s) through the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP).</p></li><li><p>Prepare visit clearance requests, Common Access Card (CAC) and other Government badge requests.</p></li><li><p>Manage incoming visitors to the facility and provide security support for classified meetings.</p></li><li><p>Conduct initial security awareness, foreign travel, annual refresher, and special security briefings.</p></li><li><p>Conduct security debriefings, collect and revoke badges, and cancel all visit authorization requests.</p></li><li><p>Investigate security violations, incidents, and insider threat concerns to prepare reports appropriately.</p></li><li><p>Review incoming DD-254s and ensure the facility's compliance with the applicable security requirements.</p></li><li><p>Prepare DD-254s for subcontractors in accordance with customer and DCSA guidance.</p></li><li><p>Prepare and authorize courier orders and cards as required.</p></li><li><p>Manage document control database for incoming and outgoing classified material. Ensure all classified material is properly accounted for, controlled, transmitted, transported, packaged, safeguarded, and destroyed in the NISPOM and contractual requirements.</p></li><li><p>Maintain employee/visitor badges and access control cards.</p></li></ul><p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p><ul><li><p>Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.</p></li><li><p>Eight (8) years of current/consecutive industrial security experience.</p></li><li><p>Bachelor's Degree in any field.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of current NISPOM requirements.</p></li><li><p>Strong working knowledge of DISS, e-QIP, NISS, and SWFT systems.</p></li><li><p>Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.</p></li><li><p>Must work with a sense of urgency, integrity, and ethics.</p></li><li><p>Must be flexible - adapt to changes in the work environment and maintain a professional demeanor. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p></li><li><p>Experience using Security Information Management System Software (SIMS).</p></li><li><p>FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities.</p></li><li><p>Experience performing security functions in a Multiple Facility Organization (MFO).</p></li><li><p>Experience with classified safeguarding and inventory management. One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team.
