Cybersecurity Technology (CST) Group is responsible for protecting the firm's customer, client and proprietary information. We develop and implement best in class security controls, monitor and defend the firm's network and applications from online threats, develop and implement access management and identity solutions, and deploy innovative engineering solutions.

The Security Metrics and Data Analytics Specialist will be a member of the Cybersecurity Technology organization and will work closely with the COO Function and across the CST Group. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and innovating next generation security reporting metrics. You will contribute to continuously enhancing performance and portfolio governance, and improving our visibility, reporting and analytics capabilities in order to gain a comprehensive view on our security posture.


  • Contribute to developing proactive and predictive cyber risk analytics

  • Contribute to developing actionable KPIs, KRIs, and insights

  • Analyzing data streams from a variety of channels

  • Develop products and frameworks to drive industry dialogue and maturity

  • Establish system of records and drive data quality

  • Contribute to systems integration

  • Through this work, help understand existing technologies and portfolio

  • Leverage state of the art big data analytics tools

  • Help improve overall situational awareness and proactively provide recommendations and opportunities for improvement to the leadership

Required skills

  • Demonstrated interest in Information Security and Technology and ability to develop actionable reporting and intelligence to enhance security posture and protect the organization

  • Ability to work with the management to develop and monitor operational security metrics, processes and subsequent initiatives to achieve targets

  • Familiarity with the threat landscape, including threat actors, and attack techniques and their defenses

Additional Technical skills

  • Database Management, Machine Learning, Mathematical Modeling

Get a taste of what your career could be at Job Description Role / Title The Data Scientist, People Analytics on the Global People Analytics team is responsible for creating and maintaining enterprise level dashboards to drive people related insights. This role reports directly to the Global Head of People Analytics. Key Responsibilities include: * Deliver data visualizations that make complex data easier to understand, and package the data story into a polished presentation for leadership audiences * Use platforms, programming, and systems to establish single-source data to be leveraged across the business to support insights and improved decision-making. * Establish strong partnerships with HR CoEs including Talent, Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards to ensure aligned functional reporting & analytics strategies and collaboration * Owning the design, development, and maintenance of scalable solutions for ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to support analytical and business needs. * Experience with diverse analytics methodologies and approaches; expert ability to connect HR data/metrics to business metrics/results * Knowledge of how to analyze structured and unstructured data using various tools * Translate business problem statements into analysis requirements * Use analytical and statistical rigor to answer business questions and drive business decisions * Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting * Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation * Track the ongoing development of new developments in dashboard technology for the latest releases for workday and Tableau and create a new system to develop * Recommending improvements to back-end data sources for increased accuracy and simplicity Minimum Qualifications * BS in math, finance, engineering, statistics, or related discipline is required. * 5+ years' experience using tableau * Proven analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases. * Demonstrated ability to tell a story through data and communicate effectively with senior leadership and other key stakeholders; mastery of advanced visualization and analytical techniques with an ability to translate findings for a general business audience * Proficient in SQL, familiarity with statistical modeling tools such as R or Python * Strong business acumen, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills * Ability to influence cross-functional team members * Motivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities * Team player who manages collaboratively with the ability to influence management, in some cases without authority * Ability to self-direct, multitask, and prioritize a constantly evolving workload Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience in people analytics -- experience working with Human Resources, People and Business data to generate meaningful insights for leaders and decision makers * Strong preference for prior experience in using Tableau on Workday based data * Prior experience working with Alteryx * Experience in partnering with business owners to understand requirements and develop supporting analysis to solve business problems.
