We're currently looking for a Security Manager to join our team at the Nissan North Americas Headquarters in Franklin, TN.

Job Summary

The Security Manager (Non-Manufacturing), US and Canada, leads the security, intelligence, and emergency response functions for Nissan's non-manufacturing locations within the US and Canada. This role is responsible for overseeing the Nissan Americas Security Operations Center, physical security equipment at non-manufacturing locations, leading confidential product security missions, and ensuring security officer staffing at Nissan's non-manufacturing locations across the US and Canada.

Job Functions

The following statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed.   • Manage non-manufacturing security programs using personal knowledge and staff resources to ensure profitability, protection of company assets and the safety of employees and Nissan's reputation. Ensure standardization of all physical security systems and equipment.

  • Develop and implement security procedures and emergency response programs to assure the safety of all personnel, facilities, materials, equipment, and documentation.

  • Enforce and update security related policies, procedures, and action plans.

  • Oversee the operations of the Nissan Americas Security Operations Center, a 24/7 all-hazards security operations center staffed by contractor personnel.

  • Serve as a consultant resource to the Nissan North America Senior Security Manager on issues relating to physical security, executive protection, and product security.

  • Conduct physical security assessments as well as implement and manage a physical security framework to include the physical security controls included in the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Cyber Security Framework

  • Oversee physical security incident response planning as well as the investigation of physical security breaches.

  • Lead and/or coordinate the investigation of major thefts and threats of violence in the workplace to ensure the protection of Nissan's people, assets, and reputation.

  • Evaluate existing US and Canada security program for efficiencies, make recommendations for process improvements, and oversee implementation of approved recommendations.

  • Develop and maintain end-to-end programmatic management of enterprise physical security technologies to include tracking of all equipment, functionality assessments, repairs or replacements as needed and implementation of an end of shelf life plan.

  • Establish and implement systems maintenance program to ensure reliability and availability of all physical security systems to include configurations, development, programming and patching as required.

  • Develop requests for proposals, evaluate responses, and recommend services for security integrators, contract security providers, security systems providers and other similar vendors.

  • Remain current on security technologies through industry involvement/membership in ASIS, ISC and similar industry forums.

  • Analyze return on investment (ROI) on proposed and existing physical security projects and programs and develop business cases for investments within assigned area as required.

  • Establish and promote an excellent working relationship with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

  • Assist such agencies, in accordance with company policy, with investigations involving NNA facilities, employees, or contractors; interact with other security organizations outside of NNA network for benchmarking purposes.

  • Collaborate with Corporate Security teammates to support other programs as needed, including travel security, executive protection, asset protection and investigations.

Management Accountabilities

As necessary, performs other related duties as assigned by management. Must be flexible, as position requires on call 24 hour/7 days per week.

Minimum Qualifications

The following statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.

Job Knowledge and Skill:

10 plus years of specifically related physical security experience. Program management of security operations is strongly preferred.

Education and Experience:

10 plus years minimum combined experience in corporate security, law enforcement, threat intelligence, and/or investigations. Experience in the manufacturing sector preferred. Demonstrated experience effectively leading responses to security incidents, monitoring of assets and communicating to senior leadership. Proven experience developing and executing an enterprise physical security program.

Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Industrial Security or a similar field.

Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills:

Experience with physical security systems and applications including Video Management Systems (Avigilon, Lenel etc.), access control systems (Lenel, CCURE etc.), case management systems (Ontic, Resolver, etc.), Critical Event Intelligence platforms (Core/Hyperion, Crisis24, AlertMedia, etc.), Emergency Mass Notification tools (Everbridge, AlertMedia, Send Word Now, etc.)

Proficient with Microsoft Office tools to include Teams, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project etc.

Domestic travel estimated to be 15%
