A security manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of an organization's assets, employees, customers, and facilities. Their primary role is to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols to mitigate risks, prevent incidents, respond effectively to security threats and Crisis & BCP

Main responsibilities:

Security:

  • Security Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive security plans, strategies, and policies in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop risk mitigation strategies. Implement measures to minimize risks and protect against physical, technological, and information security threats.

  • Security Operations: Oversee the day-to-day security operations, including access control, CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, and incident response protocols. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to security.

Team Management:

  • Manage a team of security personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to promote a culture of security awareness and professionalism.

Emergency Preparedness:

  • Develop and implement emergency response plans, including procedures for handling crisis situations, natural disasters, or other security incidents. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective emergency preparedness and response.

Investigations and Incident Management:

  • Conduct investigations into security incidents, breaches, or violations. Gather evidence, interview witnesses, and liaise with law enforcement agencies if necessary. Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Security Training and Awareness:

Develop and deliver security training programs to educate employees on security protocols, best practices, and emergency response procedures. Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.

Vendor Management:

Oversee the selection, contracting, and management of external security service providers, such as security guards, alarm system vendors, or security consultants.

Security Audits and Compliance:

Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Implement necessary improvements based on audit findings.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, HR, legal, and operations, to integrate security considerations into their processes. Communicate security-related information, updates, and training to stakeholders at all levels.

Crisis

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive crisis management plan to effectively respond to and manage crises, emergencies, or disruptions to normal business operations.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to establish crisis communication protocols, escalation procedures, and incident response strategies.

  • Conduct regular training and drills to test the effectiveness of the crisis management plan and ensure preparedness.

BCP

  • Develop and implement a business continuity management framework to ensure the organization's critical functions can continue during and after a crisis or disruption.

  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities to business operations and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.

  • Establish business recovery strategies, alternate operating procedures, and recovery time objectives for critical business processes.

About you

Experience: Five years of experience in Security Management: Protection People, Product, Information, Risk Analysis, Crisis Management & BCP Crisis Management & BCP, incident response, investigations in pharmaceutical industry or similar.

Experience in developing and implementing security strategies, policies, and procedures in multi-countries.

Familiarity with relevant law enforcements, regulations, and industry standards related to security.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies.

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as security management, law enforcement, criminal justice, or a related discipline is typically required.

  • Auditor certified in ISO 9001,31000, 28000, 27001, BASC and OEA are a plus.

  • Cybersecurity, Crisis Management course are preferably.

Languages: English fluency
