Security Guard and Wheelchair Escort

Patrols: Guard, Patrol, or monitor premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules.

Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property. Patrols industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates. Responds to Emergency Situations such as fires, Chemical Spills, Medical Emergencies, Bomb Threats, Explosions and answers alarms and investigate disturbances.

Provides customer service in accordance with company established standards and expectations. Provides escort services for occupants of client property, as requested. Provides public assistance, including lockout and other services and information.

Makes immediate reports to designated company and client personnel and information. Answers telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed. Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises. May be required to operate company or client owned vehicles, providing safe and efficient transportation as required. May be requested to perform other duties as assigned by Manager's needs.

Examines wheelchairs daily for any required repairs, needed maintenance and level of cleanliness. Checks brakes Checks footrests Inspects seat and back Inspects wheels Checks handgrips Evaluates overall cleanliness of wheelchair Reports any required maintenance or needed repairs to Manager.

Cleans wheelchair between uses.

Responds to Dispatch request for passenger or airline assistance. Provides physical assistance to seat and transport passengers to their destinations.

Informs passenger of transport procedure.

Demonstrate a professional attitude and respect toward the passenger. May escort passenger in wheelchair through security checkpoints.

Follows all safety rules.

Observes and reports any unsafe or hazardous conditions immediately to their manager or proper authority. Remains with passenger until released to the airlines or departs terminal.

Notifies dispatch upon completion of each assignment.

May be requested to perform other duties as assigned based on Manager's needs or airline activity. Responsibilities Uses proper body mechanics while performing duties. Remain alert and aware of the surroundings.

Able to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods. Possess empathetic abilities in dealing with employees and their questions. Demonstrate ability to work with others and interact appropriately.

Maintains communication with other managers. Relates information regarding events or situations that may effect operations. Working Conditions:

Ability to stand for long periods of time.Must be flexible to work scheduled and non/scheduled hours as required.May be exposed to high levels of noise or variations in weather and temperature

May be expose to high levels of noise in the terminals.

Job Description: Summary: The Escort is primarily responsible to perform protective service and escort work such as escorting uncleared individuals into designated buildings and property, protecting equipment and material, and controlling access to installations by employees and visitors. The Escort will ensure positive control of all approved but uncleared individuals – from verification of identify upon arrival at the facility to personally escorting them within the facility and ensuring they exit appropriately. The Escort does not act in the capacity of a law enforcement officer, and has no arrest or apprehension powers. A majority of work is performed indoors within the facility. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Initiates, updates, tracks and closes incident/support requests; * Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies, and perform all assigned duties in a safe work manner. * Arrive at work at the designated time in proper uniform and carrying needed, issued equipment. * Will carry out general and special orders for post assigned. * Will communicate via radio, telephone and orally according to orders. * Required to interact and escort as required with public and government personnel. * Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned. * Meet, greet and interact professionally with employees, VIPs, and the general public * Maintain poise and self-control under stress. * Construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports in English. * Read, speak, understand, and apply printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials in English. * Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays and be on call * Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Requirement: * Minimum High School Diploma or GED * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Prior military, civilian, or security guard experience preferred.(Honorable Discharge if applicable) * Honorably discharged (If Applicable) * Successfully completed all training and have obtained all required permits, licenses, certifications and security clearances for the site. * Full Time Temporary candidates must be available to work any shift between the hours of 5pm – 2am any day of the week. Security Requirements: * Secret Clearance Skills: Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance: U.S. Citizenship Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
