NeoGenomics is looking for a Security Guard based in our site in Fort Myers, FL who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This is for a 12 hour night shift. Must be able to work weekends.

Position Summary:

The function of the Security Guard is monitoring and ensuring compliance of the established NEO Security Programs and Policies. Responsibilities monitoring external and internal security cameras, validating credentials of employees and visitors as they enter NEO property. Communicates relevant information to Management so that it can be acted upon in a timely manner; Also responsible for maintaining the various logs and checklists all the while monitoring day-to-day security program operations; including responding to emergency situations as needed.

Core Responsibilities:

• Investigates security/risk related situations on NEO property, including steps involved in handling sensitive and high-profile situations. Coordinates with monitoring center to ensure proper handling of incidents.

• Assists NEO staff with security incidents.

• Recommends actions to avoid conditions conducive to threats such as unauthorized access, vandalism, and theft.

• Responsible for ensuring adherence to all NEO corporate policies and procedures.

• Conducts physical security and risk vulnerability inspections, evaluate and provide recommendations.

• Reviews facilities designs regarding where sensitive materials are located.

• Responsible for the maintenance and efficient operation of NEO Security systems and services.

Requirements:

• No Previous Security Experience Required

• Effective communication skills

• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently

• Valid FL Driver License

• Must be able to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety Manual

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Availability to work after hours in emergency situations
