Responsibilities:

Security Executive (Accenture LLP; Seattle, WA):

  • Pursue and cultivate trusted advisor relationships with clients, and understand current and future client security needs, such as cybersecurity strategy, privacy and data protection strategy, cybersecurity risk management, and cyber technology implementation services, in the context of market dynamics.

  • Recommend short and/or long-term value creation for clients.

  • Manage security asset creation and results for the domain.

  • Implement market strategy integration within geographic units (GUs).

  • Collaborate with client service groups to implement local offering campaigns, and manage organizational and delivery strategies.

  • Maintain executive relationship with alliance partners and deliver joint go-to-market strategy for the domain or within GUs.

  • Manage development and execution of delivery models, and capability development for the domain, working closely with operating units (OU) and client leadership.

KPMG is currently seeking an Executive Director, Business Information Security Officer to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. Responsibilities: * Develop, implement and monitor a comprehensive business information security and related internal controls program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of business applications, systems and data; and to integrate and normalize the wide variety and ever-changing requirements resulting from global laws, standards and regulations * Collaborate closely with the federated Chief Tax Officers and other matrixed organization stakeholders to integrate and operationalize a highly effective and appropriate secure business enablement program, ensuring the consistent application of policies and standards across all technology projects, systems and services, including privacy, risk management, compliance and business continuity management * Work with federated businesses (including KPMG International and member firms) in conjunction with the KPMG CISO and direct organizational teams to complete business impact analyses that will underpin the business continuity and disaster recovery plans of KPMG business units; including training, staff development, performance management and annual performance reviews * Facilitate metric and reporting framework to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the business security program, facilitate appropriate resource allocation, and increase the maturity of security capabilities * Monitor the external threat environment for emerging threats and advise relevant stakeholders on the appropriate courses of action while defining and facilitating the information security risk assessment process, including the reporting and oversight of treatment efforts to address negative findings * Partner with KPMG's first line of defense, Business Engagement Leads (BELs), second line of defense (Risk Management and Office of General Counsel) and members of executive management to determine acceptable levels of risk for the organization while actively contributing to the information security policies that will be published by and the responsibility of the second line of defense Qualifications: * A minimum of fifteen years progressive experience leading complex information security programs in a decentralized operating/organization structure; financial services experience a plus * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Master's degree preferred * Experience in a mature, advanced cloud environment; multi-cloud and hybrid cloud experience a plus; comfortable with new disruptive digital technologies and application to business strategies and possess a "solutioning" orientation and leverage technical acumen with ability to facilitate the impact through speed and accuracy * Understanding of the threat landscape specifically within a multi-distributed, decentralized business model on a global scale, specifically in North and South America; strong familiarity with the US regulatory environment as well as familiarity with global regulators and global privacy and data laws (e.g., GDPR) * Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and team work with an ability to direct, motivate and empower others to work towards the organization's goals, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across multiple functions. * Background in enterprise risk management, forensic investigations, FBI, CIA, Government, Law enforcement or related areas is highly desirable; hands on experience in Latin America and Spanish and/or Portuguese language proficiency preferred KPMG LLP (the U.S. member firm of KPMG International) offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
