Due to recent growth and on-boarding of new clients, we have an immediate need to hire a full-time Network Security/Resident Engineer to support one of our clients in the Charlotte, NC, area.

    What You Will Be Doing

As the Resident Engineer (Network Security Engineer) you will be our company representative working side by side with our customer's Engineers and Management guiding them through the operation, management, administration, and maintenance of our vulnerability management solutions and platform. You will be responsible for product deployments, training end-users on our product suite, and provide value-added services and consultative advice to various staff members. The ideal candidate should have previous experience working for a professional services organization, technical account management capacity, or for a value-added reseller (VAR) where you have experience navigating, coaching, understanding client needs and providing solutions.
What You Need for this Position

  • 5+ years of Network Security Engineering experience

  • 3+ years of experience working in professional services, client-facing, and/or technical account management roles

  • Previous experience supporting enterprise customers and the desire to lead customer projects, provide consultative advice, and a willingness to lead client training sessions

  • Intermediate to Advanced Linux Systems Administration (CentOS or RedHat) skills and experience writing Bash or Shell scripts - our products are all Linux based (CentOS)

  • Experience managing challenging situations and challenges of large organizations

  • Comprehensive understanding of network architecture with a focus on Layer 3 networking

  • Strong background and hands-on experience with at least 2 or more of the following firewalls: Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, Palo Alto or Fortinet

  • Experience with vulnerability scanners and vulnerability management tools such as Qualys, Rapid7, Retina, Tripwire, etc.

  • Ability to create network models based on a client's existing network

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant experience

  • Professional Certifications highly desired (CISSP, CCNP, CCIE, etc..)

Bonus points for:

  • Scripting skills in Python or Perl

  • MySQL experience (SQL scripts, Queries, etc.)
