Summary:

This position is responsible for the installation and repair of door hardware and locks within the hospital. Performs minor routine and preventive maintenance to include operating, cleaning, inspecting, adjusting, tightening, replacing, lubricating, reporting problems, etc. on security door systems. May be called upon to assist other security personnel in the completion of their work.

Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections, minor repairs and replacements on building structures and furnishings such as internal and external doors, door hardware door frames.

• Repair and maintain automatic doors and locks.

• Bore and core doors for the installation of locking systems hardware; maintain locking systems by repairing, pinning and

• Replacing cylinders as needed.

• Install, program, maintain and repair electronic locking system

• Maintain cabinet key system - change out cam locks for desks, cabinets, etc as needed.

• Adjust door closures and other door hardware.

• Subject to call back hours and weekends. Perform other duties and special projects as required.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 9 am

• 6 pm.

You may be required to float occasionally to other Children's Health locations including Dallas, Plano and THD Clinics.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• At least 1 year related experience, or vocational or technical education Req

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent Req

• Course Completion in Nation Fire Protection Association (NFPA 80) required 6 months after hire Required Req
