About the Role

The Security Customer Advocacy Manager at Micro Focus manages the product/services/solution (PSS) life cycle. From an understanding of customer needs/insights, provides initial product/service /solution design, pricing, value proposition, messaging and/or whole product strategies (packaging, warranty, service, support), as well as forecasting through product introduction. Regional product marketing includes actual forecasting, inventory strategy and forecasting, actual pricing and price promotions/discounting, technical support and ultimately the obsolescence and end-of-life of the PSS. Both regional and global roles regularly work with the sales force, customers, and partners to accelerate sales process. Applies market and customer insights on customer experience requirements and brand loyalty to define the PSS experience requirements across all PSS components of the customer life cycle. Represents the voice of the customer with respect to PSS development/pricing, launch, refresh and obsolescence.

The Security Customer Advocacy Manager will:

  • Drive the definition of a single product/service solution (PSS)through R&D and solutions teams.

  • Define appropriate PSS prior to introduction.

  • Provide closed-loop post- analysis of PSS strategies/ roadmaps/platforms/SKUs.

  • Aid the sales efforts to end users and partners worldwide.

  • Determine and lead an appropriate product/ service/solution introduction process to assure an effective launch within the region.

  • Provide ongoing forecasting to assure sufficient product is available.

  • Optimize amount/ utilization of alliance and other partner funds (specials, pricing, price promotions).

  • Work with sales and manufacturing to lead the PSS obsolescence process for the region.

Education and Experience Required:

  • College degree in Marketing/Business/ Technical.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledgeable of assigned product/solution and customer requirements for the product.
  • 5 years of demonstrated knowledge of product marketing fundamentals.

In this role, you will initiate, implement, and support security programs and controls. You'll advise all levels of management about the risks associated with their IT architecture and design decisions. You'll be assisting with the design and validation of risk reduction efforts of various units at each campus. To be successful, you'll need a combination of excellent relationship-management skills and a broad and deep understanding of IT security and technology. You'll need to know business processes, regulatory compliance, and human behavior, and how they are impacted by security risks. In this position, you'll strive to work with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the CES institutions. Essential Functions * Consulting and Advisory Services * You'll fill the role of a trusted advisor and partner to administrative and academic units at each campus. * You'll be the IT security subject-matter expert to associated business and technical leaders. * You'll help business and technical leaders understand, prioritize, and reduce IT security risks. * You'll ensure IT security program compliance through good relationships, partnerships, and professional influence. * You'll be on key security and compliance committees, ensuring that business practices meet compliance requirements. * Risk Assessment and Reporting * You'll establish and maintain a comprehensive security risk management program. * You'll perform and/or supervise risk assessments with product, project, and engineering leaders, and coordinate vulnerability and penetration tests. * You'll promote adherence to IT and data security policies and standards. * You'll review and evaluate compliance assessments. * You'll document critical security risk issues. * You'll communicate risk and urgency to technical leaders when immediate mitigation is critical. * Participation in CISO* Department Leadership and Development * You'll contribute to the development of information security culture, strategy, programs, policies, and procedures within the CES organizations. * You'll be encouraged to stay current on all security industry trends, tools, and products, and to share new information. Job Requirements Education and experience required (minimum): Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent professional experience; 5+ years of related work experience, preferably in an information security, IT assurance, compliance, or risk management role. Certifications: We prefer one or more recognized IT security or assurance certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CPISA (other technical certifications are also given consideration). Skills, abilities, or knowledge needed: * Conversance in the security and risk implications for common technical architecture and components. Ability to identify and assess security risks across technical domains such as segmented enterprise networks, identity and access management, cloud architectures, insider threats, endpoint protections, securing web applications, and privacy regulatory compliance. * Ability to work individually and as part of a team with minimal supervision * Proven ability to conceptualize, analyze and communicate complex issues and concerns to both technical and non-technical managers and workers * Proven ability to develop, refine and follow processes * Familiarity with security standards and best practices such as those specified by the payment card industry, ISO 27000, National Institutes of Standards and Technology, and Center for Internet Security * Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, there may be physical requirements such as sitting for long periods of time and using existing computer monitors/equipment.
