Job Duties:

  • Work with the John Hancock advisory team to develop a comprehensive divisional level security strategy

  • Develop detailed roadmaps that illustrate phased approach to execute the strategy

  • Stays current in the latest information and application security knowledge, including new and emerging threats and vulnerabilities

  • Define reference security architecture at a divisional level

  • Gather requirements specific to applications and provide solution architecture, to integrate with security platform

  • Interact with divisional and global IRM teams to help them define Identity and Access Management (IAM) standards and guidelines.

  • Serve as an internal information security advisor and subject matter expert to the organization and on various projects, ensuring that common architecture decisions are implemented consistently across business and IT.

  • Work closely with BU development teams and vendors to analyze their applications, infrastructure and accelerate IAM integration efforts, leveraging expert knowledge

  • Define tactical and strategic approaches to decrease implementation efforts and reduce time to market

  • Lead a team of engineers to deliver implementation of solution architecture and automate implementation, administration and support activities

  • Develop secure and scalable design patterns that enable on-boarding of web, mobile and desktop applications to IBM or any other company defined security platform

  • Provide guidance to security platform and application teams in assessing reports and mitigate risks

  • May telecommute from any metropolitan Boston-area home office, but must commute to Boston office several days per week or more frequent as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience in the security platform field.

Experience must include:

  • 5 years of experience with IBM Identity and Access Management products
  • 5 years of experience in Programming language Java or .Net
  • 5 years of experience in the design and deployment of end user web access and control infrastructure
  • 5 years of experience with scripting in JavaScript, Perl, Python, and Powershell.
  • 3 years of experience defining and implementing enterprise security architecture
  • 3 years of experience developing divisional level strategy and security architecture road maps
  • 3 years of experience in Identity and Access Management architecture
  • 2 years of experience in design and integration of cloud based applications (Azure, AWS, Salesforce) with security platform

Experience may be gained concurrently.
