Job Description:

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Security Architect II. Utilize tools, process, and knowledge to diagnose and resolve product, platform, and customer security issues; Deliver managed services for both media and security to proactively maintain quality of network and protect customer's online presence; Contribute to central alerting system, detecting, and mitigating the impact of network attacks; Engage in mitigation techniques to prevent vector attacks; Perform advanced packet analysis to identify attacks and threats to our network; Manage and document technical issues, responses and requests to ensure information is recorded and updated; Provide support to customers to remedy and resolve network and connectivity issues; and Communicate with customers regarding challenges and providing updates and results on mitigation and analysis. Required Qualification:

Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Telecommunications, or Telecommunications Systems Management and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role.

Must have: Two (2) years of experience with the following: Application Security, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Security, Threat Modeling, vulnerability management and scanning, security research, Python, Javascript, C++, and .NET.

Compensation:

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $102,973 - $154,614/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
