Your daily responsibilities include
This position assists in the design, development, implementation, and integration of security technologies associated with the enterprise and provides technical direction and guidance of system configurations to ensure alignment with regulatory and security requirements. This position works cross-functionally across business and IT teams to ensure effective communication and understanding by all levels of management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
Applies a deep understanding of the information security, cyber security, and operational characteristics of a variety of computer platforms, networks, software applications, and operating systems
Provides technical direction and guidance to other in IT Security, Information Technology and the business to align with business needs as well as regulatory and security requirements
Identifies areas of weakness and vulnerability and recommends changes to meet security standards
Designs, develops, implements, and integrates security systems and system components to include computing, networking, and enclave environments
Performs detailed analysis in support of OS and Application level vulnerabilities
Maintains a working knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications, including emerging technologies
Provides technical support (including on-call as required) to evaluate problems and provide technical solutions for a 24x7 environment
Provides technical consultation in new systems development, new package evaluations and enhancements of existing systems
Participates in technical design reviews, system integration testing, load testing, and provides assistance during user acceptance testing
Prepares and maintains technical user guides, functional specifications, standard operating procedures, systems/network documentation and diagrams
Assists in the compliance review for SoX and PCI standards
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management
Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs

Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field from a four-year college or university; or three years' related experience in a cyber security role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in engineering, threat and vulnerability management, and oversight of cyber security systems required.
Must have experience reviewing OS and Application security patch requirements.
Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Must have experience with Anti-Virus, Malware, Spyware management and remediation, in addition to managing prevention, detection, and verification security programs.
Must have comprehensive knowledge of web application and database security sensors, UTM and NextGen firewalls, IPS/IDS sensors, web content URL-filtering applications.
Familiarity with network-borne attack vectors and feasible mitigating controls required.
Must understand PCI, SOX requirements.
Must be able to work outside of normal schedule as needed for network maintenance and scheduled downtime.
Must be able to travel up to 10%.
Must have strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, or other programming languages.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to meet service level agreements according to established guidelines.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must have the ability to interact with colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
