Your daily responsibilities include

This position assists in the design, development, implementation, and integration of security technologies associated with the enterprise and provides technical direction and guidance of system configurations to ensure alignment with regulatory and security requirements. This position works cross-functionally across business and IT teams to ensure effective communication and understanding by all levels of management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Applies a deep understanding of the information security, cyber security, and operational characteristics of a variety of computer platforms, networks, software applications, and operating systems

  • Provides technical direction and guidance to other in IT Security, Information Technology and the business to align with business needs as well as regulatory and security requirements

  • Identifies areas of weakness and vulnerability and recommends changes to meet security standards

  • Designs, develops, implements, and integrates security systems and system components to include computing, networking, and enclave environments

  • Performs detailed analysis in support of OS and Application level vulnerabilities

  • Maintains a working knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications, including emerging technologies

  • Provides technical support (including on-call as required) to evaluate problems and provide technical solutions for a 24x7 environment

  • Provides technical consultation in new systems development, new package evaluations and enhancements of existing systems

  • Participates in technical design reviews, system integration testing, load testing, and provides assistance during user acceptance testing

  • Prepares and maintains technical user guides, functional specifications, standard operating procedures, systems/network documentation and diagrams

  • Assists in the compliance review for SoX and PCI standards

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management

  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field from a four-year college or university; or three years' related experience in a cyber security role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in engineering, threat and vulnerability management, and oversight of cyber security systems required.

  • Must have experience reviewing OS and Application security patch requirements.

  • Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Must have experience with Anti-Virus, Malware, Spyware management and remediation, in addition to managing prevention, detection, and verification security programs.

  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of web application and database security sensors, UTM and NextGen firewalls, IPS/IDS sensors, web content URL-filtering applications.

  • Familiarity with network-borne attack vectors and feasible mitigating controls required.

  • Must understand PCI, SOX requirements.

  • Must be able to work outside of normal schedule as needed for network maintenance and scheduled downtime.

  • Must be able to travel up to 10%.

  • Must have strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, or other programming languages.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to meet service level agreements according to established guidelines.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Must have the ability to interact with colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Offers users help and support in all aspects of computer operations. Assists other Core IT staff on various projects as well as day-to-day operations including the configuration and operation of routers, switches, intrusion detection software, Email, Great Plains, ADP, AVAYA Phone switch, Virus protection, and security issues related to the network. Responsibilities: The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: * Troubleshoots, diagnoses problems, implements corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate. * Builds, configures, upgrades, performs backup, and recovery, installs and troubleshoots desktop computer systems. * Creates and reviews work orders to move, change, install, repair, or remove data communications equipment such as modems, cables, and wires. * Tracks and measures support performance against agreed service levels. * Creates and modifies documents and instructions on work performed. * Creates and maintains operational documentation for help desk procedures, virus protection, software licensing, inventory control, and software patches/updates. * Creates, follows-up, and closes helpdesk tickets. * Reads technical manuals to learn and apply correct settings for equipment. * Develops functional specifications and use cases for new capabilities * Orders supplies and equipment and associated record keeping. * Provides efficient and prompt customer service support to computer users. * Responds to end users' problems and requests. Instructs end users as necessary in the proper operations of the computer, software and network resources. * Keeps proper inventory of all office IT equipment and software licenses. * Proactively checks with end users to insure high level of satisfaction. * Provides support and instruction for Video conferencing equipment. * Responsible for training of office personnel on proper use of applications, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office suite, Accounting applications, Human Resource applications, file access, printing, Terminal Server, Lotus and Word Perfect. * Assures proper computer use and instruction in areas of security and anti-virus. * Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management. * Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters. To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set * Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent in an appropriate technical field from a two-year college or technical school; or one to three years' related experience and/or training in a PC technical support role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ability to write routine reports and in depth technical operating manuals. * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. * Must have technical proficiency in Microsoft Server, Terminal server, Active Directory, Windows 7 and 10, Apple Mac OS, Microsoft Office 365, Exchange, Great Plains, and PowerPoint. * Must have ability to multi-task. * Must be able to work on call for support after hours and weekends as needed. * Ability to work independently, identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. * Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
