SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION:

We are currently seeking a seasoned Analyst, either at the Analyst II or Senior Analyst level, with a demonstrated track record in the realm of security operations.

As an Analyst at CCHMC, you will contribute to our security initiatives, working on a high-performing team through the analysis of intricate security challenges and furnishing invaluable insights to our decision-makers. Your role will be instrumental in implementing best practices and short-term strategies, leveraging security tools that will allow monitoring and protection of our critical research and financial data to support our research foundation.

Representative Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Assist in managing the design, development, and implementation of security solutions dedicated to protecting CCHMC data.

  • Identify necessary resources for small projects and coordinate communication between internal and external stakeholders on project-related matters.

  • Assist in developing project plans, determining the scope and complexity of mid-sized to large security projects.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and prioritize tasks based on directives from supervisors or customers.

  • Take ownership of components of the incident response process and lead the cycle when incidents occur.

Analysis

  • Analyze, design, implement, and maintain moderately complex systems aimed at securing clinical care and patient management.

  • Plan and execute system testing, meticulously documenting testing outcomes.

  • Develop technical designs and create tools to automate repetitive tasks, minimizing errors and downtime.

  • Write comprehensive user and technical documentation, reviewing and enhancing existing documentation as needed.

  • Utilize the development lifecycle process, operating procedures, and documentation to support system solutions effectively.

Technical Support

  • Provide second-level technical support and problem resolution assistance for security and process issues.

  • Troubleshoot and interpret security events, identifying the resources required to resolve issues of varying scales.

  • Utilize appropriate change control methods to implement security solutions.

  • Proactively identify potential issues and devise solutions to minimize downtime and system problems.

  • Collaborate with teammates in evaluating and monitoring security effectiveness, contributing to future development needs and feasibility studies.

  • Participate in on-call support rotation, handling incident resolution and problem determination during designated times.

Customer Support

  • Ensure exceptional end-user support, including ongoing monitoring of Service Level Agreements for incident management.

  • Collaborate with other areas to ensure customer-centered incident management and support.

  • Adhere to and promote the continual adoption of change management policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service behavior, including timely and effective follow-up with customers.

Knowledge Development

  • Enhance knowledge and professional skills through cross-training, literature review, and attendance at department meetings and vendor education sessions.

  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

  • Motivate team members and encourage teamwork, contributing to a positive team dynamic.

  • Contribute to development of security awareness, preparing and delivering oral and written presentations, and participating in instructional seminars.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years of work experience in a related job discipline

Preferred:

  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or other relevant security certifications

  • Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Macs

  • EDR, Vulnerability Management, Threat Intel, DLP, Splunk, Firewalls, VPN, and IPS experience

  • Experience with Oracle and MS SQL

  • Cloud Security

  • Python and/or Java Programming experience
