The role is responsible for supporting the maturation of a "center of excellence" around IT and IS control monitoring, advisement and consultation with the Corporate wide IT / IS Policies and Control Framework.. The role entails supporting the assessment of the effectiveness of internal controls, and ensuring that operating systems and processes are functioning in accordance with overall company (sox, soc, pci, cloud, etc.) control framework. This individual will administrative and work in-take processing support to the IT Controls Center of Excellence team to help drive the assurance strategy

Will also support and partner with the IT/IS organization as part of the overall team focus. Basic position expectations also include ensuring stability and compliance with audit and regulatory requirements/mandates, maintaining and upkeep of a master control workbook and audit calendar of activities.

Role may be called upon to support procedures to ensure the safety of information system assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform work intake activities related to the processes and procedures underpinning the controls governance and control monitoring functions.

  • Perform work intake and workflow steps in an audit management system.

  • Interface with Internal and External auditors around processing administrative activities related to the audit request and audit remediation activities.

  • Maintain and perform upkeep activities and communicate updates of a master control framework.

  • Maintain and upkeep a master audit calendar and communicate to IT Leadership and IT Operations regarding important dates and activities.

  • Support the overall activities of a controls monitoring and assessment program.

  • Provide project management support to the IT Controls Center of Excellence team members.

  • Support internal stakeholder service requirements for established IT assessment and audit activities

  • Ability to perform implementation tasks for IT audit and IT assessment technologies and execute testing.

  • Provide supporting activities around a vendor compliance program.

  • Compile, organize and report on data in support of IT audit and IT assessment activities

  • Compile and collect, organize and report on IT audit findings

May include assignment to project teams to represent IT and IS controls requirements and perform operations and administration tasks.

Requires 2+ years experience in support and operations role in any of the following areas: IT audit, IT controls monitoring, general IT and/or operations compliance and regulatory activities .

Must be capable of providing top-tier support for 2 or more of the information security technology common body of knowledge skill sets: 1) Access Control, 2) Application Security, 3) Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, 4) Cryptography, 5) Information Security and Risk Management 6) Legal, Regulations, 7) Compliance and Investigations, 8) Operations Security, 9) Physical (Environmental) Security, 10) Security Architecture and Design, 11) Telecommunications and Network Security.

Knowledge and understanding of industry-accepted IT general controls and data processing controls and concepts as applied to hardware, software, data, network communications, and people.

Position Summary: Position will have accountability for the organization, execution, planning and administration of audits within the Line of Business or Function (LOB) of Voya Financial (Voya), directing the evaluation of controls, reviewing compliance with policies, procedures and regulations, and coordinating and directing reporting of results of audits for the LOB / Function to VOYA management.
