Your Role and Responsibilities

This individual is responsible for providing continuous monitoring of the corporate and federal assets ensuring the integrity of the environment. The work of this group includes managing the various scanning tools, assessing and analyzing the data collected from those tools, as well as tracking and reporting on suspicious activity. This position is responsible for detecting intrusions and leading our response to any intrusion. Tier II Analysts are the primary resource used for incident case creation and initial investigation. The analysts receive escalations from Tier I and creates the initial case documentation. Then will contextualize data using various security tools and will work with the Tier III analyst to declare incident.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • GCIH, GCIA, or equivalent certifications required

  • 2+years' experience in Security Operations, including monitoring security appliances and incident response.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • 2+ years of information security experience

  • Experience with risk management, vulnerability management, threat analysis, security auditing, security monitoring, incident response and other information security practices preferred

  • Knowledge of cloud computing and network protocols

  • Knowledge of generic information security standards/programs

  • Knowledge of SIEM tools and log analysis

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with information technology professionals as well as senior management and auditors, assessors, and consultants

  • High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exude the appropriate level of judgment and maturity

  • High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision

VIEW JOBS 12/4/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-03-03T00:00 The Security Analyst II will assist in the review and enforcement of established information security policies, standards, and procedures utilizing the functionality of the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) application. Participate in implementations to ensure security requirements and appropriate guidelines and controls are tracked within the GRC application for business processes, systems, and infrastructure. Perform risk assessments to identify weaknesses and ensure the effectiveness of internal controls in reducing risk. Utilize the GRC risk management system to ensure analysis, research and documentation remain consistent. Assist with or performing GRC application functions including configuration that address the tracking and management of security risk assessments and mitigation efforts for mergers, acquisitions & divestitures, third parties, and non-hospital clinical locations focusing on HIPAA, NIST CSF, FDA & PCI controls. Assist in ensuring security requirements and appropriate guidelines and controls are in place. Make recommendations and drive improvement to the Security Risk Program to leadership. Create and provide well defined, meaningful reports within the defined GRC application. Duties: * Perform assessments and correlate data and reports from different sources, make logical inferences about that data, and be able to publish results. Ability to develop tools and scripts to aid in data processing or other aspects of log and or security research as it pertains to the Security Risk program. * Perform review of third party security controls and address appropriately. * Make / Implement recommendations for improvements in process and procedures. * Participate in projects as assigned. * Perform assistance in review of firewalls, intrusion detection systems and other network security systems to determine potential exposure.
