Honeywell is seeking a Security Alliance Architect for our Phoenix, AZ location Join the leadership team focused on building a world class cyber security organization to protect and defend our Aerospace products and services. In this role, you will be interfacing with Honeywell Business Development teams within Aerospace as well as with other SBG's to ensure future Honeywell products are cyber-safe and meet the evolving needs of our customers and regulatory agencies. You will have direct contact with security experts in our corporate offices as well as the other Honeywell business units, Aerospace customers, and various leaders across the Aerospace business. You will represent Cyber Security in evolving future Honeywell Aerospace products and offerings by collaborating across all of Honeywell Aerospace's product development and engineering teams to incorporate security standards based frameworks for compliance and best practices while also leading cyber innovations for product functionality.

Establish the connected security and technology reference architecture for product security engineering, spanning all Aerospace products

Facilitate the definition and transition of capabilities such as domain segregation, architecture measures, and access control methods into future Aerospace product development

Engage in Industry meetings and discussions with Government agencies (FAA, DoD, etc) to understand, shape and define emerging product security requirements and standards for the Aerospace industry and ensure ongoing alignment of the Honeywell Aerospace standards, processes and procedures

Be the focal point for Cyber Business Development to evaluate potential new business opportunities for Aerospace cyber security offerings, including the development of the Cyber Security Products & Services Roadmap and contribute to defining secure architecture and security requirements to support the business growth roadmap

Coordinate and communicate across the organization to drive product security best practices in Aerospace products

Be the Aero focal on the Corporate Security Council to ensure Aero alignment to corporate defined requirements, guidelines and standards

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 15 years of experience in a technical field or engineering development
  • 5 years' experience in Cyber Security leadership, including evaluating future needs, defining technologies, developing talent and refining processes and identifying tools and standards


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science

  • Experience in Aerospace with strong knowledge of certification regulations (FAA, EASA) and working knowledge of industry standards such as DO-326A, DO-356A, NIST and DO-178

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to all levels of the organization

  • Experience in the engineering Product Development life cycle (requirements, design, implementation, testing and certification)

  • Ability to partner across the organization and successfully lead change and improvements regarding product cyber security through strong influencing skills

  • A high tolerance for ambiguity and a proven track record of formulating and successfully developing and executing a strategic plan

  • Experience protecting sensitive information

  • Diverse and global teaming and collaboration

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: * Engaging business and technology stakeholders at all levels to gather long term goals and requirements; * Mapping long term business requirements to security architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman etc.; * Designing and building security technology solutions aligned to a global central service environment; * Engineering experience with enterprise security technology; * Contributing to a central technology service organization; * Navigating a matrix organization; and, * Collaborating with multiple stakeholders across functional and technical skillsets.
