DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Security Administrator will have content expertise in the following areas and will be responsible for the following reporting and communication requirements as deemed appropriate:
Coordinate and conduct security related training.
Supervise security projects including technology enhancements, third party security assessments, and security standards.
Assess, plan, revise and implement security-related procedures, rules and regulations for all facilities.
Gather preliminary information regarding building and property security issues.
Develop, implement and maintain security, safety & fire protection policies, rules, plans and procedures for Company departments and/or facilities in order to establish and safeguard authority assets while ensuring the personal safety and safe environment for staff, clients and visitors.
Develop and maintain security and life safety through education and awareness programs.
Responsible for providing Executive Management detailed security reports quarterly or as requested.
Serve as liaison to other Company departments and outside agencies regarding safety and security issues.
Establishes and maintains working relationships with local law enforcement agencies.
Conducts investigations when findings of theft occur.
Ensure compliance with Federal/State/Local agency security regulations and statutes.
Secures building area by locking and unlocking doors at scheduled times via the access control system.
May physically expel unruly persons.
Maintains observation of areas following organized activities to keep records of any damage to property.
Notes and reports pertinent information concerning security control during the course of building and ground inspection to Management.
Provide information to the employees on applicable rules and regulations, office and facility locations, general crime prevention techniques and available programs, and related issues.
Respond accordingly to emergencies in order to protect persons and property by going to the appropriate location; assessing the situation; following prescribed instructions; applying basic knowledge of first aid, CPR and other emergency procedures as appropriate; and requesting additional assistance when needed.
Assist in building evacuations and searches to ensure occupants' safety by notifying them of the threatening situation(s), providing instructions as directed, and looking for and reporting unidentified or unusual substances as assigned.
Monitors TV and audio surveillance to check the building safety, security and control, and notifies designated staff of emergencies.
Partners with Location Managers in placement or removal of camera systems.
Audits surveillance system making sure it is working properly, and submits service requests when needed.
Negotiates with security companies for new cameras.
Creates Ids and card access for Corporate.
Monitors security card access with the Vehicle and Access Control Administrator.
Provide support for Fleet-Security Administrator when necessary.
Update and manage company location list

Knowledge of administrative rules, regulations and procedures governing security for assigned buildings and grounds sufficient to follow, enforce and explain them.
Knowledge of area(s) to which assigned, including office and facility locations, and where to seek assistance in emergencies.
Knowledge of proper safety precautions and first aid techniques sufficient to deal effectively with emergencies.
Ability to enforce regulations, reasonably but firmly.
Ability to follow simple oral and written directions.
Ability to prepare incident reports and maintain log records accurately and concisely.
Ability to demonstrate mental alertness, exercise good judgment in implementing instructions and be trustworthy.
Work is performed in a company office building. Lifting requirements of up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis may be required. Wrist and finger manipulation due to computer work, calculating, compiling and filing. Equipment used may include but is not limited to computer, typewriter, calculator, telephone, copy and fax machines.
PREFERRED EDUCATION BEYOND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required license(s): Valid State issued Driver's License, First Aid Training, and Travel up to 10%
