Allied Universal is looking to hire an Account Manager. Account Manager jobs at Allied Universal are accountable for day-to-day operations of an assigned account, including hiring, training, disciplining and terminating staff. Build, improve and maintain relationships with clients and employees: develop & retain staff; coordinate needed support services and solve problems to effectively run the account. Meet or exceed financial & operational goals; provide quality customer service. Maintains or oversees maintenance of weekly operating schedules and completion of payroll for assigned security personnel. Provides after-hour emergency response as required. To support and ensure success in this role, we provide a comprehensive, week-long management onboarding course designed to provide best practices, tools and guidance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Security Director (Account Manager)

  • Responsible for the Leadership, direction and vision of the security department.

  • Oversees supervision of day-to-day security operations.

  • Builds, improves and maintains effective relationships with all Client staff and security team members.

  • Maintains knowledge of current hospital security best practices, industry standards and collaborates with Client departments heads (projects/issues/policies/training).

  • Confers with representatives of Client management in the formulation of policies, determine need for programs and coordinate programs with hospital activities.

  • Maintains departmental policies and procedures.

  • Ensures all assigned equipment is maintained in good working order and is current and reports issues to Management Support.

  • Maintains relationships with all outside law enforcement agencies on the Federal, State and local levels.

  • Confers with representatives of local government to ensure cooperation and coordination of Client activities with law enforcement and firefighting agencies.

  • Develops relationships with Client partners and other local healthcare organizations.

  • Manages team of security supervisors and officers, including oversight of hiring and selection process, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development and support.

  • Plans, coordinates and directs activities such as: staff assistance with patient restraint and intervention in disruptions by patients, visitors and staff; traffic control; guard and patrol physical property; escort service for visitors and staff; monitor systems response; orient and monitor personnel working in high-risk areas; and investigation of accidents and criminal acts.

  • Responsible for the development and audit of drills related to security and emergency management situations.

  • Actively participates in Committees, as directed by Client.

  • Responsible for periodic Hospital Security Risk Assessments.

  • Maintains hard copy individual Security Officer Training Records for Client and DNV inspection.

  • Responsible for yearly staff review for Management and Administration staff.

  • Ensures department is compliant with DNV, CALOSHA, OSHA and other regulatory organizations the Client deems necessary or by regulation.

  • Manages staff training records for inspection.

  • Ensures all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met.

  • Manages all escalated security issues and emergency situations appropriately.

  • Assists department managers/directors and administrators in enforcing safety regulations and codes.

  • Intervenes whenever conditions exist that pose an immediate threat to life or health or poses a threat to equipment or the facility.

  • Coordinates VIP Patient management with hospital leadership.

  • Responds to Domestic & Workplace Violence Incidents.

  • Responds to all Client Emergency Codes.

  • Assists Client with the protection of Client property and equipment.

  • Manages that physical contact of officers with others is in compliance with Allied Universal's Use of Force Policy and Use of Force Continuum.

  • Assists Client's Education Department and Human Resources Department with NEO training as it regards safety & security awareness and CPI NVCI training.

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the ID Badge generation function, as well as the ID Badge program.

  • In coordination with Director of Facilities, assures positive key control program.

  • Develop and recommend new procedures and approaches to safety and loss prevention based on reports of incidents, accidents, and other relevant information.

  • In coordination with Management Support, develops and maintains Post Orders on all hospital posts and regularly audits and updates Post Orders for client and Allied Universal approval.

  • Responsible for maintaining relationships with all Security related vendors and contractors.

  • Responsible for implementation and audit of the security incident reporting and management system.

  • Conducts weekly inspections of staff including uniforms, documentation, and job knowledge.

  • Responsible for development of reports on a month basis for reporting crime statistics to various groups and committees' hospital wide.

  • Schedules quarterly All-Hands meetings with security staff, including reserve force.

  • Recommends staff members for in service awards and recognition as appropriate.

  • Prepares for and participates in Client Competency Fairs at the direction of the Security Director for the Client.

  • Performs other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by hospital and Allied Universal.

  • Address all Event Reporting System items and provide action plan(s) if necessary.

  • Ensures the enforcement of Client weapons policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four (4) year degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or related field

  • Previous Contract Security, facilities management, military or law enforcement experience

  • At least two (2) years of business management/operations/supervisory experience (depending on size/scope of client).

  • Ability to develop and grow customer relationships

  • Experience in hiring, developing, motivating and retaining quality staff

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment with the ability to work independently

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex situations, a diverse team of employees and client requirements on an ongoing basis

  • Previous payroll, billing and scheduling experience preferred

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment while having an entrepreneurial attitude
