About the team
The Performance Ops team's main responsibility is a reporting function by nature. The workflow is one of the last ops teams in the chain in terms of monthly support of our client's accounts. Our job is to take a holistic approach to reviewing/reconciling the prior month's activity - trades, accruals, corporate actions, holdings, flows, beginning/ending account market values - and ensure that it all ties out with our accounting/custody system and then to ensure that the returns calculated off that data is accurate/reasonable.
What you will be doing
The Securities Operations Associate Senior will be focused on one or more of the following jobs:
Coordinate and oversee the daily/monthly activities of 3rd party vendor colleagues as it relates to performance analysis, processing, and support
Actively participate in daily client inquiry and deliverable support
Utilize current trust accounting platform tools to track and anticipate challenges that may occur in monthly auditing of data in the performance measurement system.
Participate in internal and external (client) meetings to discuss our monthly auditing and oversight practices as well as our governance over it.
Develop creative ways to enhance our performance, tracking and results communication.
Participate in problem evaluation, root cause analysis and developing new processes to prevent issues, errors, rework and client impact.
Ability to review and manipulate large data sets in Excel to analyze trends and resolve similar issues associated with the performance measurement system.
What you bring:
strong understanding of Excel and writing formulas to analyze data is desired.
Proficient in the use of basic office equipment and tools as well as applications specific to performance analytics
Ability to solve problems and escalate issues as required
Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to develop professional work product that can be shared with clients, senior and executive management.
Take initiative to identify operational challenges, recommend improvements and bring those improvements to fruition.
Requires strong problem-solving, time management, organizational and data entry skills
Requires attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and adjust schedules to meet deadlines
Ability to work in an organized manner
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Team skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public
