We are seeking a Product Strategist at the Analyst level to join our Product Strategy team in New York within the Global Securities Lending business. The Product Strategy team plays a critical role in the Securities Lending business by working directly with BlackRock's clients and key partners to help enhance understanding of the securities lending market, as well as helping drive the future direction of BlackRock's Securities Lending business. The successful candidate will help us achieve this mission through close collaboration with our clients, colleagues and partners across the firm.

What will you be doing?

  • Conduct quantitative data analysis to assist the securities lending business and our clients

  • Work with our data and analytics team to help interpret trends, build reporting and craft commentary and actionable insights for clients and internal teams

  • Use coding skills (if applicable) to enhance daily processes and help drive future innovations in the lending business

  • Collaborate with colleagues across securities lending and BlackRock to deliver innovation solutions to improve client experience

  • Contribute to short term projects related to a variety of different initiatives for the securities lending business

Qualifications:

  • University degree and a clear passion for BlackRock and financial markets

  • Analytical skills with an ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms

  • Analytical individual who enjoys working closely with data, technology, and other people, and is also comfortable pursuing new ways to solve problem

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects within agreed timelines

  • Good interpersonal skills and someone that enjoys building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and partners across the organization

  • Knowledge of Python, SQL (highly preferred)

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $110,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model

Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. The primary responsibility of the position is the analysis and direct trade execution of over a $1billion of structured product securities for portfolios managed by the U.S. fixed income investment team. The candidate will report directly to one of the lead portfolio managers responsible for the management of U.S fixed income strategies.
