Responsibilities

Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS), Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Center is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join the Secure Systems Department as a Systems Security Engineer (SSE). This position is in a technical growth area and we need individuals who can apply their technical knowledge and experience to system security engineering and program protection concerns within the key pillars: anti-tamper, cyber security, software assurance, supply chain exploitation, and threat and design vulnerability analysis.

As a member of this organization, you will design and develop technical solutions to address complex problems. This is an opportunity to leverage creative and effective results. Some coordination with senior personnel is required. A motivated self-starter with experience in systems, software, mechanical and/or embedded will find this role challenging and rewarding.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years of Systems Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience (physics, embedded software and/or hardware)

  • Familiarity with requirements development, analysis, derivations, verification and/or validation

  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical skills

  • Must be able to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams of system design professionals including electrical, mechanical, software and logistics engineers

  • Active Secret Security clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Program Protection, NIST/RMF process, Anti-tamper, Supply Chain and/or Risk Management Software Assurance

  • Experience with GPS and navigation techniques

  • Experience with defining requirements for complex multi-processors for real-time systems

  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Microsoft Project, requirements analysis tools (e.g., DOORS) and peer review products

  • Qualified Six Sigma Specialist

  • Active Top Secret clearance

  • Existing SAP/SAR clearance

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics.

Desired Education:

The Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Center is seeking a recognized technical leader committed to creating innovative and cost-effective system security solutions for our radar systems. This leadership position requires proficiency and experience in secure systems, such as cyber security, anti-tamper, software assurance, and supply chain assurance and/or operations security. This is a high-growth technical area and the candidate must be a self-starter that enjoys collaboration and pursuing innovative, practical solutions. This leadership position requires a high degree of radar systems technical competency and experience. The Senior Secure Systems Verification Lead influences the technical performance of all systems engineering activities, emphasizing the system integration, test and verification activities, and assumes the responsibility of engineering decisions impacting H/W, OFP, radar capabilities development, integration, verification, and work products delivery while ensuring the product meets all technical specifications, operational requirements and customer expectations. The Senior System Security Verification Lead provides technical leadership of peer groups and technical mentoring to program engineers, including close coordination with the Program Chief Engineer (PCE) and IPTL(s), while also working closely with the Program Manager as the interface between program management and Systems Engineering team to ensure a high level of team performance. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, and may be required to brief senior Raytheon and customer leadership teams. The successful candidate must collaborate with the Secure Systems Cross Mission SEIT Lead and other Secure System managers to adopt common processes, tools and techniques for implementing secure systems consistently and effectively across the mission area programs. The Senior Secure Systems Verification Lead reports to the Secure Systems Department Manager via the Technical Staff Section and will be assigned to various radar programs in the Secured Sensor Solutions (SSS) Mission Area.
