Section 508 Tester

Key Role:

Serve as 508 tester and advocate for accessibility, a resource for colleagues who need to develop accessible products and applications in the Government space. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience as a 508 accessibility specialist

• Experience with accessibility and 508 remediation of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents

• Experience with the 508 tagging process in Adobe PDF

• Experience with accessibility and 508 testing processes, such as DHS Trusted Tester, and with assistive technology, such as JAWS, NVDA, ZoomText, Dragon, or Keyboard testing

• Experience with WCAG 2.0 A and AA standards and 508 standards as they apply to Information Communications Technology (ICT)

• Experience with 508 compliances against government accessibility standards

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

• Ability to follow a repeatable method of testing to produce audit

• Ability to explain clearly to developers next steps for compliance

• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
