Anticipated Opening for 2024-2025 School Year
Elementary School Attendance Clerk/Secretary
The position of an Elementary School Attendance Clerk/Secretary at Taft/Hayes Elementary School is now open. Please note the job description is attached. This is a Group III (195 days at 8 hours per day - total of 1560 hours per year) position as per salary schedule.
No extra EMIS payment as per regular elementary secretary.
It should be noted that good typing skills, excel, creating excel worksheets, Google docs and computer literacy are essential requirements for this position. Candidates who bid on
this position and are not in the secretarial classification should be willing to take a secretarial skills test (typing, proofreading, grammar, and simple math) and also show written evidence of computer literacy, either evidence of coursework certificate or transcript or written documentation from a previous supervisor on the candidate's ability to use a computer. This evidence must accompany your bid for the position.

JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Attendance Clerk/Secretary
RESPONSIBLE TO: Building Principal
DEPARTMENT: Secretarial/Clerical
CLASSIFICATION: Secretarial/Clerical
POSITION: Group III
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Ten-month contract
If split schedule is applicable:
Working hours will be from:
7:30 a.m.
11:45 a.m. - noon travel time
noon
12:30 p.m.
(Note: Mileage can be claimed as a result of 11:45 a.m.-noon - travel between schools)
GENERAL DUTIES: The attendance clerk/office assistant will work between one or two elementary buildings and will switch a.m. & p.m. duties at semester break.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
