Under the direct supervision of the building principal, the Secretary II performs:
1.General clerical and secretarial duties, typing and correspondence, printing and copying, sorting and filing, etc.
2.Computer data entry/keyboarding skills.
3.Assists and substitutes for head secretary.
4.Communicates with the students, staff, parents and the general public.
5.Attendance reporting and monitoring.
6.Handle transportation changes and communicate those changes to staff and students accurately.
7.Other tasks as assigned, including playground and cafeteria duties.
Special Requirements: (Certification, training, specialty skills or previous experience)

1.Must have excellent knowledge of modern office methods, practices and procedures, business English, spelling
and arithmetic. Previous secretarial/receptionist experience preferred.
2.Must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize tasks to be completed so that work is completed in a
timely manner.
3.Must be able to perform clerical work with speed and accuracy, and have the ability to use the computer for e-mail,
student information system, word processing, spreadsheets, google documents, website maintenance., etc.
4.Must have ability to work harmoniously with staff, students, and parents.
5.Must have ability to take direction appropriately, changing tasks as necessary.
6.Must have current first aid training, attend all additional medical trainings offered by the district, and be willing to follow
all student health protocols as outlined by the district nurse.
7.Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
8.Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.

NUMBER OF HOURS PER DAY: 8.0 HOURS PER DAY

NUMBER OF DAYS WORKED PER SCHOOL YEAR: 260 DAYS (FULL YEAR)

HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $20.66 - $29.08 PER HOUR (RANGE 12)
