EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • performs general clerical and receptionist duties which include greeting customers, answering the telephone, typing, using computer applications, processing mail and operating a variety of office machines
  • sorts and files materials according to office procedures and standard business practices
  • distributes program literature and provides eligibility information to the general public
  • assist customers with linkage to career specialist maintains sign in sheets for testing workshops
  • assists with the administration of assessment instruments to measure customers' abilities, aptitudes and interests
  • provide staff support to Career Specialist and assists with maintaining Resource Room materials, phone logs, bulletin boards, job board, hiring events, and calendars
  • assists customers in the Resource Room, as appropriate
  • proofread/store/print resumes and correspondence for customers
  • performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
  • assists with referrals to community-based services, partner services
  • reports data to court programs regarding customer service
  • works closely with senior worker program. Providing support, training, and assistance
  • tracks weekly data regarding resource room usage/partner services/satisfaction/customer count

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience: 1 year of related experience

  • Madison County, IL residency requirements must be met within 6 months of hire
