Primary Job Functions: Supports the administrators and other personnel by applying secretarial practices.
Salary Lane: SEC2G - Hourly pay starting at $19.68 commensurate with school experience.
Assigned Workday Calendar: 206 days (School Year Days)
Status: Full-Time (40 Hours per Week)
Schedule: Monday
Full-Time Benefits: Eligible for medical, dental insurance as well as supplemental benefits such as vision, life insurance, disability, etc. Eligible for PERF Retirement.

Qualifications:
Education: A high school education is required. Advanced training is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge: Human relations, secretarial practices, Microsoft word processing and data processing and machine operation.
Experience: None is required, but office experience is preferred.
Certification: None is required, but certification through training and professional associations is desirable.
Other: Ability to maintain a positive relationship with pupils, staff, parents, and the community.
General Functions:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management systems.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interact professionally with staff, students, parents, and visitors.
Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Essential Functions:
Answer phones, distribute messages, assist visitors, teachers, and students.
Enroll and withdraw students, manage records in Powerschool
Handle book rental receipts, operate the bookstore, and assist in the Nurse's office.
Distribute mail and packages, collect and post attendance slips.
Enter daily attendance, process bus passes, early dismissals, and tardy slips.
Prepare daily announcement forms and file permission notes from parents.
Report new enrollees/withdrawals, process student cross-reference lists.
Manage attendance reports, process and send attendance letters to parents.
Inventory bookstore and office supplies, prepare free and reduced lunch reports.
Prepare and submit monthly activity calendars.
Conduct year-end inventory, handle yearbook and picture orders.
Assemble handbooks, assist with kindergarten pre-registration.
Process class lists, compile book fee lists, request and send student records.
Assist with teacher check-out, process end-of-year reports, manage student cumulative folders.
Other duties as assigned by the building administration
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
