Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Secretary for the Faulkner University Police Department (Campus Safety). This individual will report to the Chief of Police and perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining files; answer inquiries and obtain information for students, faculty and staff. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position.
Summary of Duties:
Provide administrative support to the Chief of Police
Facilitate the collection of institutional data and update in appropriate data systems
Issue parking decals to visitors, faculty, staff and students; maintain and update decal database
Update and maintain Faulkner's Eagle Alert emergency notification system
Maintain daily crime log
Serve as a liaison between the Chief's office and the students, faculty, staff and other University offices
Coordinate timesheets, leave requests and leave accounting for the department
Maintain p-card for office expenditures; reconcile monthly statements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred; High School diploma or GED required
Office/clerical experience or other applicable experience preferred
Active member of the church of Christ
