Lancaster County Children & Youth Social Service Agency is seeking professional individuals to join our Clerical team in our Intake, Family Support and Permanency Departments. If you have a passion for working in an environment that serves to help others, apply today!

The Lancaster County Children and Youth Social Service Agency is a public child welfare agency mandated to provide protection services to Lancaster County's children and their families. The Agency investigates all reports of child abuse and neglect and provides intervention services to address safety threats and risk factors and stabilize the family. The Agency's mission is to address the safety, permanency and well-being of children and youth at risk of abuse and neglect.

Intake Division:

This employee is responsible for all unit-related reports and case files. Work is assigned by the unit supervisor.

Work is reviewed daily by the unit supervisor and caseworkers. Monthly case checks for accuracy and compliance with Agency policy are conducted. Results of case checks are reviewed with the employee. The Unit Supervisor and employee meet monthly to review unit workload.

Family Support Division:

This clerical position is responsible for the clerical duties for the unit and department. Work will be performed in such a manner that court reviews and documents will be accurate and completed in a timely manner.

Case records, to include formatting of dictation, will be consistently maintained to assure the unit and Agency are in State and Agency compliance. All telephone calls will be answered and transferred in an accurate and timely fashion to assure the Agency operates efficiently and smoothly. The public will be greeted in a professional manner.

Messages will be taken accurately and completely. Irate clients will be handled even during phone coverage.

Permanency Division:

The clerical will be responsible for the clerical management of information for a Permanency Unit including one or more supervisor(s), caseworkers, and intern(s).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing/keyboarding course; Or Any combination of equivalent experience or training which provided the required knowledge and skills
