Job Description:
As an administrative assistant, your primary role is to provide administrative support to the administrators of Ben Bronz Academy and help school operations run smoothly.
Job duties include:
Assist with new student enrollment
Schedules in person and virtual meetings, PPTs, parent meetings, written service plan meetings, and supervision meetings
Maintain confidential student records/files and performs data entry into the SIS as needed
Respond to records requests
Ensure accuracy of student database/enter new students/quality control checks
Communicate with parents/staff regarding student attendance, dismissal, transportation changes
Schedule parent teacher conferences, parent trainings, and student testing
Engage parents by advertising school events and parent activities
Proofread marketing materials, newsletters, and handbooks
Ensure progress reports are sent to parents and school districts
Coordinate set up for special events, graduation, and parent events
Coordinate technology loans/returns
Assist other staff as needed with intake procedures, purchasing, events, reports, summer program, contracts tracking, and back to school forms
Perform data entry such as transcripts and TCS state reporting
Edit forms as needed
Coordinate special projects as assigned
Fulfill supply and curriculum requests from staff
Update emergency roster/track staff during emergency drills
Education/Experience:
Associate's degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a school setting is preferred.
Overall, as an administrative assistant, you work as a liaison between various stakeholders to create a supportive learning environment that meets the needs of students, staff and families.
