SECONDARY ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree or above with emphasis in school administration preferred.
Valid School Administration Certificate, or meets state requirements of MCL 380.1246.
Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience, with valid Michigan teaching certificate.

Provide coaching and professional development to staff.
Actively participate in the strategic planning process at the building level.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the principal in the overall administration of the school.
Propose schedules of classes and extracurricular activities.
Assist with the supervision of extra and co-curricular activities and student services.
Supervise the preparation of student schedules.
Conduct teacher evaluations and provide feedback to staff to support continuous performance improvement.
Assume responsibility for coordinating transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services.
Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance and works with the attendance office for investigative follow-up actions.
Assist in maintaining discipline throughout the student body by implementing restorative practices and dealing with exceptional cases as necessary.
Serve with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives.
Perform such record-keeping functions as the principal may direct.
Perform all other duties as directed by the Building Principal.

EVALUATION: Annual
SALARY: To commensurate with education and experience Admin Schedule Classification I. Range $95,055-$108,466
