Job Description

At least 3-5 years of leadership experience in a scientific industry is required.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs analytical testing that may include the following instruments: HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, etc.

• Completes test records and reviews data to ensure compliance with standards in a routine quality control environment

• Reports anomalies in data results

• May assist in the validation of methods

• Maintains laboratory supplies.

• Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices prior to use.

• Interacts with outside customers or functional peer groups.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Supports and monitors team of analysts

• May participate in new hire interviews

• Supports the on-boarding process of new employees

• Participates in training of other employees.

• Performs peer review of data.

• Assists in coordinating equipment maintenance and calibration.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in HPLC, LCMS, and/or GCMS is strongly preferred

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or other science-related degree concentration

• At least 3-5 years of leadership experience in a scientific industry is required.

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

Additional Information

The position is full-time, Sunday-Wednesday from 1pm-11:30pm. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply.

• Base compensation is $27-32 per hour based on experience.

• 2nd and 3rd shift positions will add a 10% and 15% differential to the base pay
