The role:

NFE is searching for a SEC Reporting Manager that will support the company's growing financial reporting team. This individual will lead the preparation of financial statements, MD&A and disclosures to meet the company's quarterly and annual SEC reporting requirements, as well as, to meet the company's statutory reporting requirements. This individual will also lead NFE's SOX compliance efforts, including ensuring that appropriate processes have been put in place and are documented. The SEC Reporitng Manager will be an organized, process-driven professional who has experience implementing scalable processes in a rapid growth environment. This individual will also be a demonstrated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

What you will do:

  • Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC reporting documents and disclosures; prepare necessary disclosure checklists for each SEC filing

  • Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements and the identification and accounting for any differences between US GAAP and IFRS or local GAAP

  • Develop and document processes and procedures in the accounting and financial reporting function, including leading improvements to processes where warranted

  • Responsbile for setting and maintaining compliance with SOX requirements

  • Key contact with external auditors

What you bring:

  • BS or Master's degree in Accounting; CPA required

  • 6+ years of accounting experience, preferably with a mix of Big 4 accounting firm experience and industry SEC reporting experience

  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, financial reporting and internal control frameworks and requirements

  • Experience with developing and documenting processes and controls to meet SOX requirements

  • Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and bring a hands-on approach with the ability to prioritize and deliver results in a fast moving environment with a wide variety of strategic initiatives and constant deadlines

  • Driven, confident individual who is comfortable working independently while actively seeking guidance when necessary

Job Summary: The key responsibility of Morgan Stanley's SEC Reporting Group (SRG) is the production of consolidated financial reports on Forms 10-K and 10-Q (10K/Q) which are submitted to the SEC on a quarterly basis. As a senior manager, this role will have a combination of document preparation and team leadership responsibilities. Responsibilities: * Drafting various portions of the 10Q/K including: the Institutional Securities, Wealth Management or Investment Management segment results sections; the Liquidity and Capital Resources and Risk Management sections; and the Financial Statement footnotes, among others. * Directing, reviewing and approving the work of more junior members of the team. * Analyzing financial trends and leading the process to translate data into robust qualitative commentary in SEC filings. * Project managing assigned sections of filings across a large and diverse set of stakeholders to ensure timely completion and review. * Maintaining a strong internal control environment, including ensuring that disclosures meet GAAP requirements and that new accounting and reporting standards are incorporated into filings accurately and compliantly. * Participating in and driving various SRG priorities, including playing a vocal role in continuously improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our processes. * Background in Accounting and/or the Financial Services industry, including knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as they relate to disclosures and SEC reporting rules. * Strong analytical, communication, teamwork and organizational skills. * Experience in an SEC reporting role or a public accounting background is a plus. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
