VIEW JOBS 11/18/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-16T00:00 This position will be part of the Financial Accounting team at Yelp, based in the San Francisco office. This ambitious, fun and collaborative team takes care of the month end accounting close for all of Yelp's entities, including our international locations; then consolidating those results and communicating to stakeholders both internally and externally. What sets this team apart is the vast experience it has to offer, through exposure to key business partners as well as the wide array of financial topics covered. Here is what you'd be working on: * Oversee the preparation, coordination, and review of disclosures and workings associated with quarterly Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") filings. These primarily include Forms 10-Q and 10-K but may include others as required. Ensure all of those filings are in compliance with SEC and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP") requirements, including XBRL tagging. * Oversee and maintain appropriate documentation to support all disclosures in SEC filings. * Coordinate the review and approval of 10-Q and 10-K filings with key stakeholders, including senior management of Yelp, external auditors, internal and external legal counsel, and the Yelp Audit Committee. * Support the Investor Relations team through the provision of timely and accurate financial information, review of key earnings information and provision of other insights as part of that team's process to communicate Yelp's results through the quarterly Shareholder Letter. * Research relevant accounting literature and provide technical memos and guidance to ensure that Yelp is accounting for any changes in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This includes identification of upcoming accounting pronouncements that will impact Yelp, leading the implementation project for those new standards and communicating to management, business partners, auditors, and the Yelp Audit Committee the results of those findings. * Provide technical accounting guidance for other projects, such as business acquisitions or disposals, Goodwill impairment analysis, segment reporting, investments, equity modifications, lease accounting, among others. * Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley ("SOX") requirements. Also, liaise with both internal and external auditors on the coordination of SOX testing, and ensure the resolution and remediation of any issues identified. * Assist and lead various other projects, including those related to SOX such as the implementation of control flowcharts, or other new system implementations that impact SOX or SEC reporting. * Partner with the Financial Accounting team and key business partners to ensure accounting policies and procedures are documented, updated when required, accessible and compliant with U.S. GAAP. * Manage at least one or a number of accounting professionals in their tasks, including setting their goals and objectives, career mentorship, reviewing their work and providing feedback, etc. * Assist in the preparation/review of periodic accounting entries and reconciliations, as required. This may include the review of the accounting for capitalized software development, stock compensation, among others. You'd be a good fit if you had some of these: * CPA required. * At least 6-7 years of relevant work experience required. Big 4 accounting firm background a plus. * Experience managing SEC filings for a publicly traded company required (from either an audit background or working within a company). * Experience with Workiva SEC filing software an advantage. * Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills. * Display very strong attention to detail. * Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects while continuing to meet goals and deadlines. * Team-oriented with confidence in dealing with people at all organizational levels within Yelp. Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. * LI-KZ1 Yelp Inc. San Francisco CA
