Seasons of Change, Inc. - VISTA Marketing Specialist
Seasons of Change, Inc. is a community-based, grassroots organization founded in 2001 and incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 2009. Our philosophy is "Impacting our community from the inside out, so to be effective, our program must focus not just on a city, but on the individuals who live in them." After the inception of Seasons of Change, the organization soon found that adolescent pregnancy, STD/STI, gang violence, and truancy were overwhelming problems in Dallas and Tarrant counties.
We implemented the Community Changers Project (CCP) working with our community partners, school districts, and faith-based organizations. Our current Personal Responsibility Education Project (PREP) was developed from lessons learned by best practices and firsthand experience. The CCP program activities are designed to provide an intervention that promotes health, education, career planning, character education, and leadership development as a way to equip individuals with the tools needed to navigate out of poverty.
