JOB SUMMARY:

Provide a superior experience, unattainable by our competitors, where guests can indulge themselves without apology. The Assistant Maitre D' ensures guest satisfaction by greeting all restaurant guests, arranging for prompt seating, and performing other duties as assigned to create a legendary restaurant.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Demonstrates the highest level of guest service and attention and greets all restaurant guests in friendly and courteous manner.

  • Arranges for prompt seating of guests in order of arrival, reservation time or availability of seating accommodations.

  • Develops customer loyalty by delivering unparalleled guest interactions as directed by company trained initiatives.

  • Receives, schedules, and records all reservations.

  • Quotes accurate waiting times, and seats guests when tables are available.

  • Assists in identifying casino comps, hotel and VIP Guests for seating; communicates with comp authorizer (signer) regarding any comp charges.

  • Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the entire dining area.

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of entire property and events in order to provide information to the guests.

  • Identifies and resolves service failures and handles difficult guests and situations in a calm and professional manner.

  • Works in collaboration with Team Members to help create an incredible experience for the guests.

  • Assists in maintaining appropriate levels of Front of House dining area supplies and appropriate and balanced seating of guests.

  • Assists in the monthly process of Inventory and Inventory reporting.

  • Oversees the Steakhouse Coat Room, checking in and returning guest items.

  • Assists in the coordination of the daily floor plan and wait staff stations.

  • Provides back-up assistance in initial beverage service as necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous experience as a host strongly preferred. Previous customer service experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Literate and fluent in English

  • Possess inherent customer service skills, a passion for customer care, and a commitment to proactive service and recovery as necessary

  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations

  • Ability to handle difficult guests/situations with tact and diplomacy

  • Must have the ability to think independently in making decisions to maximize customer service experience

  • Must have the ability to effectively manage time and perform multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills

  • Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy

  • Must obtain Alcohol Awareness Card from approved State of Nevada Alcohol Educational Awareness Training provider.

  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

PHYSICAL, MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Mobility skills to move quickly and easily around in a high-volume restaurant

  • Ability to stand, walk, carry and reach

  • Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel

  • Manual dexterity skills to include handling menus, silverware, dishware, buttons and pens/pencils

  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment

  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours

  • Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues

Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy

environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.

Job Overview: The Seasonal Merchandising Support Associate is responsible for providing a great shopping experience and driving sales and profit through customer service, accurate pricing and signing, and ensuring proper sales floor merchandising as well as accurate merchandise movement throughout the building. Based on the specific role assigned – Merchandising, Pricing, or Signing - operational duties include but are not limited to floor moves, replenishment, inventory; shortage control, stockroom organization, merchandising, set up and removal of signs for promotional events/sales, completing price changing activities, and ringing point of sale transactions. Seasonal associates will have the opportunity to work a flexible schedule on a temporary basis, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and busy events such as the day after Thanksgiving and the day after Christmas. Qualifications: Education: * No specific educational accomplishments are necessary. * Previous experience in a support role is preferred. Communication Skills: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: * Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. * Able to use a calculator. Reasoning Ability: * Self-starter. * Able to work independently and as part of a team. * Must have good time management skills.
