It takes a lot of behind-the-scenes effort to make sure our stores have the right products in the right place at the right time to fuel our clients' beauty obsessions. That's where our operations team comes in, to keep our stores looking beautiful and running smoothly "backstage!" This team is the backbone of the store and essential in providing the best possible experience for every client that walks through our doors.

Your role at Sephora:

As a Stock Associate, you help keep the store running smoothly and looking beautiful in partnership with the entire operations team, typically working late night or early morning shifts. You will:

  • Ensure all shipping and receiving activities are prepared and tracked in a timely manner

  • Review and execute all visual elements in the store (i.e. new marketing collateral, signs, etc) and communicate missing or damaged pieces to the Ops Manager or appropriate store leadership

  • Uphold Sephora's store visual standards by assisting with "deep cleaning" programs

  • Maintain and organize the backstage area as needed

  • Demonstrate our Sephora values of Passion for Client Service, Innovation, Expertise, Work-Life Balance, Respect for All, Teamwork, & Initiative

  • Previous work experience, preferably in an operations capacity

  • Flexible availability to work during "peak" retail hours such as nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays. In this ops role, you will be required to work overnight stock and recovery shifts as needed

Job Requirements Include: The San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research is seeking Student Intern to join a reintroduction effort for the critically endangered 'Alalā on Hawai'i Island. This Student Intern opportunity will provide an exciting and unique learning experience for students currently enrolled in an accredited college program. The Student Intern will join and work alongside the team conducting the releases, as well as pre- and post-release activities. These activities are primarily focused on tracking, monitoring, and supporting 'Alalā in the wild. Activities include caring for 'Alalā before birds are released into the wild, radio tracking released 'Alalā, preparing and provisioning supplemental food, monitoring behavior of 'Alalā, recording and maintaining detailed records, and other duties as assigned. The Student Intern will learn and develop knowledge and skills important for career development, and will meet and learn from staff members and partners in a professional work environment. This is an exciting opportunity for students who are passionate about caring for and stewarding the land. The successful candidate must have their own personal transportation. This position will be based at the remote release site near Mountain View, Hawai'i Island, under the supervision of the Research Coordinator. Qualifications include: current enrollment in an accredited college program, excitement to hike long distances over rugged terrain to learn how to track and observe 'Alalā in the wild, excitement to work in a remote forest during variable weather conditions in order to support and learn more about 'Alalā, and at least 18 years of age with a valid/current driver license and in good standing with the DMV. Selected candidate must be able to identify diverse colored identification tags on birds. This is a part-time position, up to 40 hours per week. All newly hired animal care staff and educators with responsibility for regularly caring for collection animals are REQUIRED to complete and pass (4) on-line prerequisite classes prior to reporting to their department. Human Resources will schedule this training as part of the on-boarding program. For current employees transferring into an animal care department, these classes MUST be completed and passed prior to the transfer.
