Seasonal Pool Monitor

Job Overview:

The Pool Monitor oversees the pool and spa areas to assure the safety of all users under moderate supervision. Performs aid as required. Maintain pool area in compliance with established regulations.

This is a summer position working from Mid-May to Mid-August. The shifts will be 4-6 hours and the schedule will be flexible.

Compensation: $17-$18 an hour

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Job Responsibilities:

• Explain and enforce pool regulations for safety and compliance.

• Observe pool area to detect hazardous conditions.

• Give assistance to anyone requiring it, including CPR and first aid.

• Issue and check member pool privileges and take proper action if member pool

privileges were revoked.

• Complete safety and incident reports, and immediately advise Supervisor of incident and

action taken. Advise Supervisor of any hazardous equipment or facility.

• Remain alert at all times. Walk the facilities on a regular basis to assure the safety of all

users and observers.

• Maintain a pleasant environment for users.

• Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

• Assist with facility rentals

• Provide checks on cleanliness of the entire facility

• Provide assistance with community events when needed

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to explain and enforce safety rules.

• Ability to pleasantly and tactfully interact with owners, renters and guests.

• Ability to follow oral or written directions.

• Ability to provide first aid when patrons need assistance.

• Ability to pull swimmers from the water.

• Ability to work variable shifts.

• Ability to come into contact with water and pool chemicals.

• Ability to work outdoors during outdoor pool assignments.
